Two new sets of figures announced by Master Box, with a StuG III Crew and Indian warriors.
35208 German StuG III Crew, WW II era. “Their position is behind that forest!"
This set includes five figures, four are a StuG III Crew and one is the Infantry officer.

The figures are united by a single story, showing a scene that could happen in any point of the frontline: the Infantry officer, interacting with the StuG III crew during the battle, clarifies the task with the commander of this gun, while the rest of the crew, using a minute stop, enjoys a short break.

35209 “Protective Circle”. Indian Wars series, XVIII century. Kit No. 1.

This set opens a new series of kits, devoted to a completely new subject for Masterbox - the history of the United States in the 18th century, the subject devoted to the Forest Indians and to the events of the Fourth French and Indian War of the mid-18th century.

It is planned that this series will consist of five kits that will show Rogers’ Raiders, Red coat (British soldiers and officers) and also French soldiers.

The first kit consists of four figures of Indian warriors who formed a protective circle around their wounded comrade.

It could just be me but the heads of the crewmen appear out of proportion.

Haudenosaunee maybe.
Maybe the Hekowee (for those who remember "F Troop"! And no disrespect intended!

Hmmm...the Haudenosaunee were part of the Iroquois Confederation (or another name for it!). MB's previous set were Iroquois so I would presume a follow-up set would their opponents. They appear culturally similar but are dressed differently which is why I assume they represent an other nation.

"Maybe the Hekowee (for those who remember "F Troop"! And no disrespect intended!" The famous "lost" tribe. (The Hekawi appear to be a very small tribe consisting of only one small village. They live an indeterminate distance from Fort Courage, though the directions to their camp are described as: "Make right turn at big rock that look like bear, then make left turn at big bear that look like rock". In "Reunion for O'Rourke", Chief Wild Eagle explains how the tribe got its name: "Many moons ago, tribe leave Massachusetts because Pilgrims ruin neighborhood! Tribe travel west, over stream, over river, over mountain, over mountain, over river, over stream! Then come big day... tribe fall over cliff. That when Hekawi get name. Medicine man say to my ancestor, "I think we lost. Where the heck are we?". "Where the heck are we?" became "We're the Hekawi" (the original name for the tribe in the series, 'Fugawi', was changed after the censors discovered the sentence "Where the Fugawi?"). As for Native Americans on a Stug .... if Custer could have an M3 Stuart at Little Bighorn .... ( LINK )

They are part of the Grosskopf division.

They are part of the Grosskopf division.
It's called different people have different proportions. If humans were like how some want 1/35 scale figures to be, you wouldn't need sizes in clothing or have to teach measurements and proportion in figure drawing class.

"Grosskopf Division"? Hmmm. Either way, the figures look useful and that's all that matters; more importantly: why are none of the Iroquois warriors pointing?

I appreciate that, but my first impression was they reminded me of the Tamiya figures of the 1970s
MAR 04, 2020 - 09:00 AM
I agree. They look soft. Tamiya's new figures are pretty good.
