A couple of weeks ago, I ran an Image report on WIP (Work-in-Progress) of a future set from Masterbox Ltd.. Now, dealing with the same set, we bring an update along with some real kudos for those who participate regularly in the Forums..
The original photos included a Resistance fighter giving medical attention to a wounded German infantryman. However, after reading the comments following the original news story, the company felt that, given the brutal nature of this type of warfare, it was not entirely plausible. Therefore, in the interests of realism, the two figures have been changed to include a surrendered German and a member of the Maquis searching him.

There are, perhaps, two lessons to learn from all of this:

Firstly, that your comments in the Forums (particularly related to the 'What's New' threads) are incredibly useful to manufacturers such as Masterbox.

Secondly, that there ARE companies out there, who believe that, ultimately, the feedback from modelers is vital to improve their products and are NOT afraid to act on suggestions.

Kudos to both Masterbox and to those whose comments may help to make an excellent subject even better...

Finally, our thanks (as always) to Masterbox Ltd. for keeping us informed of their work...

Masterbox, please don't change anything on this setting! It's perfect! With the other set that you showed us i made a remark about giving an german officer medical assistence. To me this was not realistic Now this new set is totaly believable. The german is alive and it is to the buyers mind what happens to him after interragation. The posses of these figures is so simple but so perfect. Like i said in earlier posts,....Gonna buy a few of them. Frank.

Nice poses, the inclusion of the sten rather than the thompson in the original set gives a more resistance /FFI feel to the figures I think the female would also look more the business with a sten as well and dump the brief case, but a nice touch with the mas.

I think if they had changed the original wounded German officer to a wounded Allied pilot the scene would have been believable also. I do like this new set. Masterbox is at the top of the modelling game. Jeff

Great set. I am thinking this scene next to a damaged Pz. IV. The diorama potential is super. Thanks for the update.

I agree that this manufacturer is really good. They are very creative in their subjects. partisans are always under represented by manufacturers. has anyone thought of doing a set of yugoslav or russian partisans?
