No, it's got little to do with Armor and even less to do with the 'usual' 1/35th scale figure subjects but I make no apology for posting this news report of a very exciting departure from Masterbox. Ltd.
This time, it's more than simply a WIP, with these images, Masterbox is entering into a completely new area for them (and for injection-moulded manufacturers). The new set will be listed provisionally as:

MB3549 - U.S. Civil War Scouts

This first set will have three figures (images of the 3rd will be available shortly) and although these are no-where near finished, there are certainly some exciting possibilities.

More updates to come! Meanwhile, our thanks to Alexander of the company for sharing these with the Kitmaker Network.

Excellent news!! These two guys can make a nice vignette. I'll definitely be buying them when they are released. I hope MB continues with this type of thing Hisham

Nice figures, read the book 'Blood and Thunder" it will give you the right time period for these. Joe

That was, indeed, an excellent biography of Kit Carson. The cavalryman could also pass for go up to 1876. In fact, I just looked at my Osprey US Cavalry on the Plains, 1850-1890 and he is very close to the cover figure, though the acouterments are earlier than the cover. :

Does anyone have any release dates for any of MB's new kits (Brit para's, Scottish infanty, this new kit)? They have a range of kits I'm eager to buy but I've no idea how long I'll be waiting. Well done to masterbox though. I hope this new range of figures does as well as it deserves too.

Good on MB for having the gumption to produce these. Are they my favorite subject matter? Not even close. Will I buy them? You betcha! -YL
