Trumpeter continue unabated with their Modern AFV release program.
When Trumpeter announced they were going to do a Centauro in 1/35th scale it caused a lot of interest. With these images (albeit CADs) the project has got a little nearer.

00388: VRC-105 Centauro (Batch 2) Spanish Army Version is provisionally scheduled for release in November or December 2008.

EDIT: 22/09/08 - Photos can be seen below of the finished model

Once again our thanks to Trumpeter for providing the images!

I've probably said this before, I'm no armor guy, but that thing is frickin' cool! I might just have to build one

Yeah, I know, I'm just hoping to keep my credit card "clean" for now. Having said that I'll still probably end up ordering one from somewhere over there. Cheers, Mike

Ship to another country need time, so Japan must faster than Amrica.

HLJ also have it listed for December. No problem, I'll give them a few days to update the site. It;s great getting the new here straight from the horse's mouth: thanks Gaoyue. Keep up the good work! Sean.

Interesting - if you look at the stuff in their New Kits section under Trumpeter about the Centauro on PMMS, while the built-up kit pics show a Spanish Centauro, the box art pic (at least, I assume it's a box art pic) shows an Italian vehicle. Strange things are afoot - either that or they're doing both kits in parallel and will just wait a while to unleash the Italian version. Al

Good looking box art, or is it an actual photo?

Only on the image on PMMS. The other box-art images show the Spanish Version. However, and this is where it does look confusing - Terry's image on PMMS shows the Italian Version. As to release date, I got a confirmation that the Centauro will be available in the States from February2009...

Ha, I've just pre-ordered my Trumpeter Spanish Centauro! I can hardly wait to hold it in my hands! Trumpeter sure has come a long way from where they started. Now if someone would cast us some Spanish tank crewmen and stowage for it, that would be great. And how about a set of cavalry pennons for the antennae? Maybe I can print my own.
