Masterbox Ltd., have, once again, provided us with images of their WIPs. This time, two models which have been featuring on their site for a while.
Within the company's 'In-Progress' section on their Website, two models are listed which have never been done in injection-moulded styrene before - the Mercedes KfZ 1/2 Type 170 VK Sedans.

Now, Masterbox have just sent us a series of CAD images of the models. To my eyes, it looks like a combination of the two future releases:

3530 - KfZ 1 Type 170 VK (Staff Car)

3531 - KfZ 2 Type 170 VK (Radio-equipped)

When I spoke to the company at Nuremberg, they told me that considerable work was underway to get these onto the market as soon as possible. So, as a 'sneak-peek', here are the first images of what should be popular subjects.

Our thanks to Alexander of Masterbox Ltd. for the images!

Excellent!!! A little PE for the grill ornament and the "star" radio aerial and they're almost perfect. Oh, and maybe a resin rag top!

Hi, I admit, I know absolutely nothing about this vehicle. Is there any info available about it? When I googled it I was directed back to this thread. My main questions would be when did it enter service and was it seen in the German invasion of France? Cheers, TimTam27

Thanks Alanmac. That answers the question of whether there were any involved in the invasion of France. There would have been plenty available. I guess I will have to wait until the kit is finally released to find out if the version in the box represents an early enough variant. Cheers, TimTam27
