It's now, (at least where i'm writing this) monday the 31st of January. So, following the request made by Masterbox Ltd i've embargoed this story until now. It frankly hasn't been easy as I hope the photos will show.
For a while now, Masterbox have been quietly working on:
35100 - "German military car, Typ 170 V, Tourenwagen, 4 T (1937-40)
As a special favor to Armorama, they've chosen to send us the first images of the FIRST moulding of this new kit. Now, the vehicle itself is not one that I personally have a lot of knowledge of. I have built several of the company's vehicles and only going by the images, of THIS model, they seem to have made a significant leap in the 'finesse' of their moulding.
Research for the model. was naturally enough, carried out on a preserved example and the design team decided to follow the vehicle's construction as closely as possible to build the model (or disassemble it!) close to the original. It seems obvious but frequently models are built with ease of moulding in mind - the company has taken this slightly different (but hopefully significant) approach.
Nothing else to add except enjoy the images and to express my gratitude ro Masterbox for the faith they continue to hold in Armorama!
