Thanks guys; I definitely should have kitbashed the tracks with a Tamiya T34 because those HB tracks were utterly infuriating. The rest of the kit is good and the flaws are forgivable, but those tracks really pushed my patience. I wrote a brief review which should be uploaded soon, to address some of the problems I came across that people (like me) wouldn't know about reading the previous 100% in box review.

An update on my T-26.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my friul track arrived. I have assembled and test fitted them - so far so good.
In these shots, the tracks are on, as are the running gear and the fenders. With the exception of the idler wheels, nothing is attached.
Let a couple of weeks go by - as of today the fenders and brackets are on, antenna mounted, and I've started to attach the photoetch.
I still have the rear screen to put onto the air intake, as well as add the muffler. Tools have yet to be built. The grey was a quick spray to determine where the seams needed to be touched up, as well as see how the Archer rivets look with paint on. Getting close to painting - thank God! If it weren't for wanting to get this done for the group build, I think I would have put this to the side some time ago!

Well - I wouldn't call them major, but issues- yes...
I think part of the problem is that the fenders were for the Italeri T-26, while this kit is definitiely not the Italeri. The plastic is tough - I have literally had to grind off some parts to fit the photetch, and sanding seams has resulted in alot of rivet detail being removed as well. I have replaced and added the rivets back using the Archer rivet decals (which look more in scale anyways). The brackets for the fenders were realy fiddley and the Aber instructions were a bit on the vague side - thankfully I had a 1/35 plan which I used as a template for placement.
Of course, I know remember why I don't like using Aber photoetch....

Which brand is your T-26 ?
I have one in stash with german markings, it's apolish brand that I can't recall...
Are the Aber sets such a nightmare ? I have 2 sets for a T-55... something tells I'm gonna regret it

It was this one
Never did find which company made this. This was in the bottom of the armour pile on a back shelf at my LHS, and judging by the amount of dust on it, had been there some time.
As for the Aber - the local armour gurus who use Aber alot tell me that it takes solder very well, which may be an option. The other alternative is not to use superglue, but 5 minute epoxy. I would have opted for the latter method of attaching the photoetch, but found that I didn't have any when I sat down to assemble the fenders.
Besides - it should also be noted that photo etch and I have always had a love/hate relationship.

Hi guys!
I've been out of the forum for few days and I stunned by work you've made! Excelent work everybody! It makes me feel I have to catch up FAST...
So - here is some small progress with interior: basicly all parts are in place, they need more weathering and corrections and machine gun is not in there yet. Enjoy (I hope you will):
It's time to paint this beast on the outside

Hi guys. As usual, great builds all over the place!
@Rodolfo & Keith & Andrzej et Al.: Niiiice!
@Jason: Outstanding interior!
Some WIP shots of my Tristar PzKpfw 38(t) ausf E/F. Overall a very enjoyable kit, not without its flaws though, IMO. Mostly the breech block assembly which doesn't fit all that well, and the two spare tracks PE racks on the glacis. Had no choice but to leave them empty.
I'm at the early phases of weathering right now. I've planned for a dusty look and a small summer 41' vignette.

@ James, Jean-Vincent, Rodolfo - thank you very much! It really means a lot to me!. Kind words from people who show a lot of talent themselves is very important for me and makes me feel I'm making some progress in my own skills.
@ Jean-Vincent and Arif - great progress. These vehicles look very real.

Thank you very much!
I'm struggling with myself about closing this beast... I will probably close it, but I have to prepare some special showcase with printed pictures of opened interior.

After some various delays, I'm getting back into things. Very nice Eastern front models going on everybody!. Andrezj, does that T-34 hatch open and close? I added some plants today and may add some more later. Next comes the tank painting & weathering. All ideas welcome
