Hi,
Marcin, here is the ribbon in gif format, under 1kB:
I have to confess that I didn't even start yet... I'm still working with Blitzkrieg entry and I'm also quite busy in some other ways at home... I hope I'll be able to start the work this month!

Keith, use any of the Dragon M4A4s, Any one with the 75MM gun (sorry don't have the kit #s handy). Just remember this A4s need the lower hull shortened as they are too long.
I have a Coree flail that I am waiting (building courage) to build.
You could also use the VC variants and close of the loaders hatch and sub a 75MM for the 17 pdr. As above some of these kits need the lower hull shortened.
Hope this helps.
Stefan- I don't think the M4 High Speed Tractor was built on the Sherman chassis.

Martin- You should be able to use a M4 interior in a A3. As long as its a early- mid production and not a 47 degree hull (wet storage). The drivetrain (for an A3) from the engine to the transmission will be lower than in a M4. The instrument panel for the driver would be different but the rest should be basically the same layout.

Thanks Andrzej, I'll upload the ribbon in few minutes.
I've started my Sherman. So far it goes OK but I still have track assembly ahead
A model for Blitzkrieg will be built just after Sherman is finished.

Hello again,
so I will enter with a M4 A1 in quarter scale. I'm thinking of two options: one from Operation Husky in Sicily 1943 or Operation Cobra Normandy 1944, both of them would be in a two-colour camouflage scheme.
greetings robert

I am making somewhat slow but steady progress on my Sherman. The HVSS units are now complete and the return rollers are in place.
Here is a somewhat better view of the beasts parts.
Currently I am gluing the suspension units to the hull as well as the front differential cover and the rear hull section with exhaust deflector, tow hook assembly and clevis loops/rings
Good luck to everyone!.
Cheers,
Jan

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies regarding the M4A3 interior.
I first started on my M32. Pics will follow but suspension, some lower hull detail and first steps in a simple, mostly scratch-build interior have been taken
Already love this campaign. Shermans rule
edit: the first pics of my M32...as you can see I still have quite a lot to do

Hi,
Also made a start with the 1/72 M10 Achilles IIC, working on the suspension now. It is a nice model, though there is some flash at the moldlines here and there, but the parts fit well.
One problem I did come across is the absolute lack of color reference on the instructions, all there is to go by are 3 tiny photos on the box.
I'll try to post some images of the progress so far this weekend.
Bye,
Maurice

SOUNDS GOOD I'LL DO THE M7

My Sherman is moving along. All construction is finished, mud applied to the running gear, and a white base coat is on. Next is the camouflage - I have not decided whether to go for an overall olive green camouflage or a olive drab with hard edged sand camouflage. A quick and nice build
Final pictures of the end result will be of better quality

Progress is swift the base coat is now on and next is the decals before the weathering starts.
More to follow...

Work has progressed through the day today. The Italeri/ESCI Sherman M4A1 is a fine little kit with no major problems so far.
The only critique would be that the modeller is forced to construct the ID number from small individual numbers. This is extremely difficult to line up. Furthermore it is difficult to correctly space the numbers as the decal film has to overlap between the numbers. There should be the solution to make the number by one self from many pieces or use a finished one piece decal with a generic number. Then the modeller would have a choice.
Next is the final weathering so I will probably finish this one in short time. More to follow

Here is my finished Sherman M4A1 for this campaign. It is the 1/72 Italeri/ESCI kit. A nice kit especially considering its age.
I have already bought my second entry for this campaign, the Tamiya 1/35 Sherman 105mm. I am now planning some kind of diorama...

Hi Al
What is the status of your builds?
If it's more than 25% yould start should start new build and if not you can enter with already started model.

I'm impressed with the speed and results posted here. My 1/72 Dragon Sherman is coming along but I am having to relearn a few things after all the years away from the hobby. I now believe that I picked quite an intimidating kit. The kits that I built in the past were lucky to have 60 parts but this one has almost triple that.
The lower hull and suspension are pretty much complete as the following pictures will show. I am experimenting with various weathering techniques and am not totally sure of what I am doing.
Side view of the Sherman with initial weathering steps.
Looking at the bow.
With the upper hull just placed on the chassis.
Have also had to relearn how to use an airbrush. Hope this built turns out okay!

Hi Marcin,
Thanks, looks like it will have to be a new build, the others are well on their way to completion.
Cheers

WIP of my M4A1. Hodge podge of parts, TTW upper hull ( Had to add 3/32" to rear), Tamiya turret, Dragon lower etc. Thank god for a big spares box.
Bit more done after these pics taken; mantlet/ gun added to turret & details added to rear of lower hull.
Next suspension. Hmmmmm which box to look in for suspension??

Awsome job done on the 1/72 M4A1 there Jesper
I remember these small kits way back, heck I even used to play with them like a toy with the old Matchbox 1/76 toy soldiers
