Hello All,
I know that there is a Stryker campaign thread over on the Armor forums as well as Stryker Proposal campaign here already. The reason I am starting this thread is for all those that were only interested in doing a Stryker/LAVIII build. This campaign would be for any variant of the Stryker/LAVIII as outlined below. Hopefully this will separate this campaign from the other since it seems to have morphed into any wheeled or tracked APC variant. I have already submitted a proposal for this campaign with a potential start date of 1 July. I still haven't heard back from management. If you are interested in building any of the following variants please post below.
The Rules and Regs:
The build must be of a Stryker or LAV III variant used by Canada, United States or New Zealand.
The build can be from any manufacturers kit, conversion or scratch built Stryker or LAVIII. Below is a list of acceptable variants.
•M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV
•M1128 Mobile Gun System (MGS)
•M1135 Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBC RV)
•M1134 Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM)
•M1133 Medical Evacuation Vehicle (MEV)
•M1129 Mortar Carrier (MC)
•M1132 Engineer Squad Vehicle (ESV)
•M1130 Command Vehicle (CV)
•M1131 Fire Support Vehicle (FSV)
•M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV)
•Canadian LAVIII Recce,
•Canadian LAVIII APC
•Canadian LAVIII Forward Observation Officer (FOO)

Canadian LAVIII Command Variant.

I'd like to do an RV. I probably would not be able to start it until after the summer though. I am moving and who knows when I will be in a new house w/ my stuff.

Real Model was working on one, but I am not sure of it's status. Maybe by the time the campaign starts in July the MGS will be out as well.

I've just finished an M1130 TACV out of the box (AFV Club), which is not in the list... I've already primed it and it's all white. I'll post a photo as soon as I can!

I'm in. I have no clue which variant as I just bought the kit from Lucky and was going to add it to my stash as number 3 total.
I will probably do some changes to it here and there and order an Eduard's PE. Just gotta do some research first.

Im in as well Not sure which LAV I will be doing yet...maybe a Bison, maybe a Kodiak. I *did* just want to point out though, that the LAVIII is not a Styker varient...the Stryker is a LAV varient! We had it first, by many many years.

If you want to be technical....MOWAG developed the LAV series.
Kodiak....no such thing..it's just a LAV III.

I did not say otherwise....just that we have been using it in one version or another for 38 years. It was indeed designed by Mowag, and developed into the modern versions by GM Canada.
"Kodiak....no such thing..it's just a LAV III."
Though it is true the Gov decided not to go with the name Kodiak, its certainly what WE called it when I was riding in them

Jason,
I'm well aware of that, but someone else had started the idea of the Campaign/Group build and I took over for him. I work for GD and do the weapons development work. We at the plant get a kick out of the whole naming issues over this vehicle. As a former Marine, I've always joked with my Army buddies. We all know that the LAVIII was named after the Marine Sgt. Stryker from the Movie Sands Of Iwo Jima
