While this isn't my entry, I thought I would share it with all of you as it fits the theme. The Sheridan was in fact air droppable. I followed mine out of C-130's on numerous occassions while stationed at Ft. Bragg. Unfortunately, "Chubbs Deux" (Modeled here) met an untimely death at the end of a 1250' streamer. Not a single chute deployed and she pretty much came apart like a box of legos. Sad day for this paratrooper. My entry will be some US Para's ala Normandy time frame. Pics to follow soon. "Q"

Nice one, going to put it in a dio?

I'm on hold for now, giving priority to the Light Armoured Vehicle Campaign at Benelux, because that one ends one month earlier.

Am I allowed to still join this campaign? I have some great 82nd Airborne troopers I would like to build up in a vignette.

Hey guys, I have a few things to clear off the bench first, but I'm planning on finishing up a 6th guards armnored churchill with a load of 17th airborne riding along for the assault on Munster during operation varsity. I'm picking through a bunch of DML sets for the paras, and going to modify the new tank riders as well. I'll post some shots when I get home to the bench. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi all

Great to see the progress in this campaign. I have finally decided to do a JagdTiger from the final months af the war. The diorama will the the Jagdtiger in a firing position being reloaded and some Fallschirmsjaeger taking care of close protection.

I am already making good progress. Pictures to follow.....

hello all,
i have 2 different sets to try to figure out which to do.so let me know which one you all think i should do.
1)German Para's in Italy 1943 with street scene in 1/35 scale.
2)American Para's in Vietnam with Huey either taking off or landing in 1/35 scale.
just so you know, the few figures i have done look like a 3 year olds work,i have never done a dio,and i have never built a chopper.
so what do you think i should build for this campaign.
cheers and a Happy New Year to all,
Bruce

Hi everybody,

I was completely forgotten that I enlisted to this campaign, but after seeing this topic I remembered that I had enlisted. Fortunately I didn't forget the I idea what I was planning to make.

It will be a rather easy and simple vignette I'm making around the ww1 monument that MK35 sells.

I will add some US para's around the monument, with a bit of a feeling like in one of the first scenes in Band of Brothers chapter Carentan (it was??) where the soldiers were resting and sitting around a fountain, before going into combat again.

This is the monument:

This is one of the figures I will use from Resicast, which is actually quit nice.

Both pictures are from the companies website.

I will soon post some progress-pictures.

This campaign is perfect for my ASU-57 soviet tank hunter.
At least this is the push I needed to complete my poor pocket-panzer (the tank was waiting 2 years as a shelf-queen for finishing) I will do the paint job in chipped winter camo with Soviet airborne unit badges.
So please count on me in Airborne campaign, cheers.

Here are the pictures from my work on my Jagdtiger over the holidays. I have made quite good progress. The camouflage is not yet complete. It needs to be an Ambush scheme, so small dots will follow.

Next is details and weathering.

I plan to also start on the fallschirmsjager soon....

Comments welcome

Bruce,
“Noble Leader“… I’ve almost laughed my butt off… .
OK, seriously – I’ve just PMed Mark, so I hope that the gallery will be in place today.

BTW – great work everybody! And to everyone that did not join yet – you still can enlist!
I’m terribly busy with K5 Leopold gun for Big Guns campaign but I promise to do something for Airborne as well!

Mark, I'm sure you are - I was thinking that Bruce ment me as a "noble leader" of this campaign .

Thanks for the link!
I can't wait to see what Christer made for this campaign.

Hello, the holidays have been long and productive.

Here is my entry “Battle for Arnhem” to the Airborne campaign.
The vignette is 1/35 scale from Verlinden.

Cheers
Christer
