Ok, so here is the deal, I let the campaign expire so that people will stop asking to join, but anyone who can finish their build before i do (which will be a month or two, and you'll get notices as i get close) gets a ribbon if you signed up.
sound fair?
For those of you who have finished, I'll be awarding the ribbon later today hopefully.

Hi Vance
That sounds fair to me, I've finished the truck build, might even manage to have the diorama done as well. Keeping my finger's crossed on that .

Hi
Have just checked the Aspargus Fern that I was drying & it seems to be dried out. So I can get the other trees done this week & hopefully get on with the rest of the diorama.
I have used Glycerin for drying the fern.

I have managed to assemble my AFV Club workable trucks for my Italeri M-109A6 Paladin without much hassle. I just needed a small trick it seems. The left side is a bit more irregular, but I figured my mistake out and right side tracks are better.
I have used Barreldepot's metal barrel, which caused a little problem. The barrel on its own is heavier than the turret, so it tends to sag. If you don't support it, it starts breaking the turret apart because of its weight. To prevent that I have used CA to glue the barrel on the travel lock. Guess it wasn't a good idea, the weight of the barrel managed to crack the CA as well. Now I will have to repair the damage and I won't use any glue this time. Let the barrel rest on the lock peacefully
This is the only way to preserve the turret without damaging the paint on the barrel or without anything breaking:
The damage up close:
Ok Vance, if you are reading this, I need this week to complete this baby. Damage repair has taken this day, so weathering will have to wait until the paint and a heavy coat of clear varnish is applied to preserve the paint on the barrel. So please please do not end the campaign yet.

Hi
Update on the build. I've finished the tree's they are all painted just need a light coating of a satin varnish as it's a wet day in the diorama. I've started to build the tree stumps on the otherside of the road. Have also given the road area a baase coat of earth colour paint.
Hope to be finished by next weekend.

Realised the warning lights on the turret is extremely flimsy... It just broke off this morning.
Will try to fix it back... Apologies for the lousy quality, ain't got money to invest in a decent camera lol.

Hi
Nearly finished the diorama. Have given the trees a slight satin coat to look as if wet, Have applied all the mud around the truck & glossed this over. Nead to make some puddles once the gloss has dried. The tree stumps & broken branches on the other side of the track have been done. Have started to make some crew figure's ( forgot them ).
Will take some pic's tomorrow.

I am at the final stage for my M-109A6 Paladin. I am using Mig Pigments for weathering. I mixed "Dark Mud" pigment with turpentine for a muddy look and applied it onto the lower parts of the vehicle, then I applied some pigment dry.
The same pigment was applied dry to the sides of the hull. The areas of the hull around the tracks were again "mudded" with Dry Mud pigment+turpentine mix. The tracks themselves were done with a mixture of pigments and turpentine, but the color is much lighter than I would like. This is because the pigments look very dark when mixed with turpentine, they get lighter when the turpentine dries away. I will redo the track areas and add some more tones by different pigments on the sides of the hull.
The turret has still some details that should be completed, such as the pioneer tools and the transparent parts. I am nearly done, this should be finished within the week, unless "Life" interferes again (which it does quite often nowadays).
