"did the PE grilles come withe the kit? or are you just cheating?"
Crap Luke you're right I'm cheating:I
But they're not PE it's that plastic screening that comes in car kits.
O.K. Basically OOB?

Well the PE on my 2A6 NL is driving me up the wall so i don't think it will get done for the dead line so i am going to concentrate on the 72 scale 2A4 and i have also bean working on a not so big cat
A 1/144 scale dragon 2A6
Not many parts but it dose have some P.E for the grills on the engine deck and for the turret baskets.
First coat of paint
And the finished article
I am going to put it on a small dio witch i will get done tomorrow or Saturday.

lol I moved into a new house so I now have to work at the kitchen table lots of room for the wifes horses but no workshop. so airbrushing is now a big event and must only be done when nobody is home.

Yup tracks and tools are all fixed. I wondered how guys did it to. I will post some in progress shots when I am painting rather than try and explain. It is actually easier than it looks. you need a good double action airbrush one that will spray really fine lines and a compressor at about 10 or 12 psi . I should have some pics on around 1 or 2:00 pst

First coat and I make sure that I completely cover all visible areas of the running gear and lower hull. I just spray at all kinds of different angles and adjust paint flow accordingly (tight space less paint) I started painting with tracks and tools on because I got sick of having a weak bond where things fall off later on. I tried taking pics while I was painting but I can't do both at the same time.
I knew I missed something. DOH!
should be starting to add some colour to the tracks in about an hour.

Ok tracks are mostly done first I spray my brown and black mix all over the place.
next I lightly and very carefully respray the wheels and other overspray spots with dunkelgelb
the rest will be done with a brush.

Hello everyone,
This is DML'S Panther-D w/zimm,my submission for the Big Cats Campaign. It was an easy kit to build.Overall I was pretty happy with the outcome. I did have some issues,I'm not real good at the real small PE so I only used the screens and some stuff I could handle. Also I think Icould have lightened my colors, because the filters and washes darkened the colors somewhat.I also accidently installed the gun mantlet backwards. But otherwise I had a real good time doing this one.The much-maligned DS-Tracks were not bad for me,I prefer Friuls but who wants to add $40.00 to every job,but these painted and weathered and installed well enough for my liking. This was also my first real attempt at figures, they were ok to work on,I used Vallego paints and Mig pigments. The uniforms and equipment came out ok but the faces were tough. My hats off to you guys who paint facial expressions. But at any rate here it is,and any comments welcome. Thanks to John for running a great campaign.

Ok folks after putting my Parajumpers for the Airbourne Campain on hold for a while, I built this over the xmas/new year period and put the finishing touchs to the crew this weekend
Hope you all like
Its sadly now missing the left rear mud guard, as I snapped it of when returning it to its shelf, but hay ho more inadvertant combat damage?!
