Sorry Calvin, the Wolverine isn't a cat.
It is from the Mustelidae family and not the Felidae family:
Hope the links help.

I would like to officially enlist in this campaign (my first) with the following offering:
Tamiya 1/35 Leopard 2A5 Kit#35242.
Not new to modelling, but haven't done any in about 20 years. Should be interesting.

The DML Panther A Early with Royal etch zimm is coming together nicely.
The hull front, rear, side and turret sides fit very well, and using Gator Glue to position them gives just enough work time to get things lined up. It also works well for attaching styrene parts to the zimm sheets.
Still promising pics soon, maybe tonight.

Finally as promised the old DML -non premium- Panther A early.
The turret face/mantlet is not glued down and I need to do a little putty work on the corner of the front plate, but otherwise I am pretty happy so far.
More pics to come

John,
thanks for the assist. I uploaded and tried to link pretty quickly. I've not had that problem before.
That's the Eduard barrel and I'll be putting Fine Molds periscopes into the cupola, it's not glued down yet.

Nope, barrel not included. This barrel is the pretty vanilla Eduard one for the A Early, it is missing the locking tab and nut at the join of the barrel and muzzle brake.
The zimmerit is from Royal model, Early Panther A 'damaged', overall the fit is really good.
It does not keep the strengthing ribs on the stowage bins, I may replace them with some half round rod.
The only fit problem with it has been on the sides of the gun mount, the kit parts are not perfectly flat and the zimm is a little thick. I just carved away the plastic to allow the zimm sheet to fit. Dont tell the contest judges..
But I have not tried to fit anything but flat plates so far, the mantlet piece seems to fit well, but I have not bent it to shape.
Tracks, I'll probably use a set of old pinch type Fruils I have lying around. The old DML track is non-magic and with 2 pin marks per link X how many links.. I am not willing to work that hard to clean it up.

Some very interesting builds coming up in this campaign. Here are the first pictures of my build. It is the 1/35 Dragon Panther Coelian.
As far as I have been able to find out only a wooden mock up of the turret was build by VE day, so this is sort of a what-if vehicle.
I have finished the lower hull and suspension. A nice fit with no problems so far.
More to follow....

Okay, so I'm definitely in on this one. I'll be building the Tasca 'Luchs' with some additional PE parts and Modelkasten tracks (I'm not convinced by the flexible tracks which are included). I haven't decided wether to build the early or late version yet, I'll get started as soon as my 'Grille' is out of the way.
Cheers!

Hello my friends
yesterday I started my "Greek Cat" First of all I would like to notice that there isn't a "right" kit for the Leopard 2 A6 HEL because it's a special order to Kraus Maffei So there are many different parts from all the known 1/35 A6s...During my construction I'll try to notice these differents
After 150 photos of the original that I have "shoot" during the greek army parades I am trying to reproduce something like interior. I'm not good to scratch built but I'll try for 3rd time in my life ( I'm sorry but I can't show the original photos of the interior because it's not allowed yet from the greek army to none).
So I use this kit because I think that it's the "closer" to HEL (Ok there are still many differents from the real one)...
I start from the place of ΟΔ.Μ.Α. (Driver. Mid. Tank.) using Evergreen's plastic foils and resin & plastic parts from my spare box..
but finally I think that nothing will be shown when tank's hull be closed
Next will be the under turret compartment; but first I must resolve the biggest turret's problem as you can see from the photos
I must eliminate and remade the area in the red line and keep the visor (blue arrow)...the other difference is turrets side baskets...
to be continued...
