Hay all been busy got some more work done this evening.
Added the wheel chalk holders on the turret rear and the PE cable reel holder.
Started to build the covers that seem to be over the grouzer holders on the dutch vehicles
You can see the covers on this vehicle if they are wrong let me know?

I just joined to this campaign, as I bought cheap DML Sdkfz. 171 Panther D (#6164) from fellow modeller. I am going to make it as one of the panthers of 51.Pz.Abt, attached to Panzer-Grenadier division Grossdeutschland during offensive at Kursk. This is older dragon kit (2002) with just basic model without any photoetch nor metal barrels.I like it!

Thanks for the comments, Jeff and Anthony. I appreciate it.
Jeff, your Coelian is coming along well. The paint job is actually quite realistic for a field applied camouflage. There are examples of quickly applied camouflage in pictures. I guess your airbrush work also count as field applied.
I am quite busy at work, but I have still been able to work a little more on my Coelian. Decals has been added and a few details painted. Next is the mud on the suspension - more to follow soon.

This is turning into a really interesting GB with the modern and WW2 tanks.
Modern stuff isn't really something that appeal to me but the work going into them it
first rate.
where's the planes. are they in this thread too? Musta missed them.
For my part I've made a start to hasegawa's 1/72 tiger. Compared to the only other armour I've done
trumpeters tiger it is really nasty. But I've got some PE and cables left over from that kit so hopefully
will be able to make it look a little less crude. Lost my usb cable so no snaps till tomorrow.
Not decided on scheme. Early tiger, hmmm all over grey? whitewash could be fun?
Maybe a hungarian or bulgarian tank. Will also need to consult alanhamby.com and tiger1.info
to at least make an attempt at an accurate build.
Bonus! there are two tankers in the kit. That what I love about these old kits you always get figures.
Pilots and the like. They more than make up for a lack of interior detail they bring more life.

Looks good so far, JP. Good that you can pimp this one up with a little PE.
I would go for the whitewash over panzer grey. I believe Bulgaria and Hungary only had a few late Tiger Is, so not sure an early Tiger I would fit.
Looking forward to see more

Ok that will cover a multitude of sins. Been doing a little research and yes can only find late tigers for hungary and bulgaria. Got a little more done, both sides fenders, grills to cover up those horrible air vents. New shovel for the front glacis. I think a Feb 43 produced tiger is easiest to make and one of the last grey ones.
I think this one is a good candidate but a little too early if I can model the whitewash on this though
Thanks to Alan and Davids sites I'm learning a lot about tigers.

for those of you who are building the Tamiya Leopard 2A6 make sure you use the provided material for the baskets sparingly. Unfortunatly I did not and I had to use some leftover basket from another kit which does not match at all. Thank goodness for camo netting and lots of it!!!

More progress on my Coelian. I have started the weathering and final touches. I have added some mud in the form of "structure" paint. After that I sprayed the suspension with mud colour. Now lots of powders and washes will complete the AA cover for the axis side
Here are a couple of pictures of the progress.
More to follow soon...

Nice mud and mud colour Jesper. Here is my progress with the hasegawa tigger
Before
After
A few hull details added. Makes a big difference to this. The trumpeter kit cables, some left over eduard PE picked up in clearance from hannants, white putty, and a few more bits of PE fret will have this looking a bit more up to date

not wanting to make you armor pros mad or anything. I am adding a different spin to this build. It is painted with Tamiya Mustard Yellow with some sort of striping to be added here shortly. Hope you all don't mind. I know it is not real colors or anything. Just my imagination at work. You have to give it to the Germans, they are masters of camoflage.
