More pics of the Leopard. Here is a view of the turret with the Bat wings out. To the Bat cave!!

Always use the material provided sparingly!!! Two different types of mesh for basket material. Camo netting to cover up that!

Look Ma, no seams!!

I Luv the Tamiya 2A5/6 kits

Cheers

Paul

I have to admit, it is a nice clean kit. Goes together quite well, that is why I like Tamiya so much.

Nothing fancy here, just a plain old model straight out of the box. Messy workbench as well.

Good work Mikey.

I have two of these on the work bench, and another 2 in the stash.

I love the way the kit goes together and the quality is great too

Cheers

Gareth I usually take some gaze bandage dip it a mix of white glue, tea leaves. Let it dip for awhile and then paint it. Let it dry .
Post some pics soon.
I have a small canvas net on the side of my Stryker (check Stryker campaign).

Scott I might go for a Tamyia 2A6 or a HobbyBoss variant...
Tamyia is generally more accurate.

Tuomas, I had the same question as you. I have been told it is used as a crew storage area and also to access the engine at the rear. The turret is turned and the door is opened for access.

Gareth, one good way is to make camo netting is an old Verlinden trick. He used guaze, soaked in glue/water mix, drape it over your model how you want it and let it dry. Then recoat the gauze with white glue, sprinkle some model railroad sawdust on it. Let it dry then paint to the colors that you want. That is what I am going to do on my build.

Well, my cat will wear different stripes of sort. F9F-5 Panther by Revell circa 1990. I will be modeling Bue Tail Fly which was two different aircraft that were matched up after each had sustained significant damage , and they mated up perfectly. The aircraft went on to fly an additional 12 missions in this scheme too. So far so good. I'm doing a Blog of the build on Aeroscale if anybody is interested. Just shot the glossy sea blue to it this evening and am waiting on it to dry so I can do the silver. Initially I was going to foil it, but I decided I didn't want to tank this nice kit this far into the build, so I will paint it instead. Thanks, "Q"

Making progress with my Panther I was initially going to foil this one, but have since changed my mind as my initial attempts proved rather dismal and I didn't want to ruin and otherwise good build. I painted the leading edges and intakes with SnJ Aluminum, masked off the glossy sea blue, and then sprayed the remainder of the plane in two different shades of aluminum to give it a little more appeal. Once dry and unmasked, I started with the decaling and have thus far gotten the top and sides of the plane done. I will let this set over night, and do the bottom tomorrow. I need to add some black decal material around the canopy area yet, but need to re-paint the windscreen as I have it in the wrong color. doh! Anyway, here she is. Thanks for looking, comments welcome. "Q"

That just looks awesome. How do you do the detail on the instrament panel? The closet thing I can get to is just the outline of the instruments. That is a true piece of artwork.

I use a white artist pencil. Its soft enough that it will color/paint the raised detail. I can then go back in with thin paint and add color where I need to. Finish it off with a drop of Future on the dials and its done. Thanks for the kudos. "Q"

She is now complete. Just finished putting the finishing touches to her. Now to post her in the gallery section.
