Hi Folks!

Got some work done, my first attempt at painting figures with Valejo acryllics (before that I used Tamiya).

I converted the US Marines Korea from DML to regular Infantry:

I guess aside from working on my figure-painting-skills, I should also work on my photography-skills...

Have a good night! Over and out!

Computers and I never really did get along that well. This (finally) is a photo of my Dragon T34/85 and crew in progress. Started in Dec. 07 and returned to shortly after I enlisted in the campaign.

Hi David,

I really like the animation on your driver - what's the story behind your diorama?
And do you have any more photos..?

cheers

Hi all,

Some updates on my Krupp Boxer..

The cargo bed doesn't fit very well, so I had to arrange a 'better' way of attaching it.
I've made a start on the markings.
I used Humbrol Flat White from a twenty year old tin and newer Tamiya Masking Tape to get the front mudguard / fender markings.
The front license plate looked terrible, as did the rear - in retrospect I should have made the effort to do a better job of these at an earlier stage; I've sanded the front license plate flat, masked it and painted it flat white. I've also made a replacement rear license plate.
Please note the front and rear sections are still sub-assemblies - the only part firmly attached to the frame is the drivers compartment.

Also close to finished is the SdAh 51 from Italeri.

Kits started 01 January 09 - I'd like them to be over soon...

Still remaining in the pile
Tamiya King Tiger - last looked at mid 2008, nearly done tho...
Trumpeter KV1 Ekranahmi - started mid 2008
Trumpeter E10 - started mid 2008
Italeri pzIV H - started mid 1980 something...
Schwimmwagen - ongoing project

all the best

Sorry to get my entry in late. My project is a Sd.Kfz 7/1 20mm Flakvierling by Tamiya.

After looking over what I had to work with I decided that new tracks and drive spockets were needed first off. So I made new ones.

I started on the guns themselves and have them about 50% complete

Next is a shot of the new tracks and sprockets.

Well that's were it stands as of today. More updates soon.

Thanks
Terry

Terry,

Nice job on the Flakvierling 20 - a nice weathering job, especially the smutts around the breech end of the cannons.
I think the rust streaks on the shield are a bit bold and arbitrary though.

What material did you use for the tracks?
It's very nice.

The final finish will be a very worn white camo which should tone down the rust streaks. The track material is a type of resin.

With a list like that you have my full attention!!

Great looking SdKfz 7, Terry!
I assume you recast the tracks yourself?

@ acav: Your protze is coming along very well.

As for my builds I seem to have lost (building)steam for now, after completing quite a series of builds recently. I have to refuel again, before I can steam on, so you'll all just have to wait a little fir the sdkfz 250/8 and the M3.

Hi acav. That protze is really coming together.

I do have more pics, and I will post them this week-end. As far as the story goes I am more a believer in the theory that a dio/vignette is a 3-d snap-shot than a story, but you have gotten me thinking. I kind of rushed this in order to support the Wings and Wheels show in Chicopee since I am a big believer in the open judging system (kudos to the club for going to open judging in the Armor and Diorama classes). Now that that is done and after reading your post I may go back and adjust the diorama. I am leaning towards a photo shoot or a liquid breakfast. Thanks for the inspiration! BTW the figure is the torso from one of the Tamiya Pak 40 crew, legs and arms from the Dragon Waffen SS Ardennes set, and Hornet hands and head. Magic sculpt great coat.

thanks for the encouragement Dave during the year i've got a few week long holidays booked so hofefully i can really hammer my four tigers, the hardest part for me will be the weathering as its an area i'm still a novice at, but hopefully the guys here can give me a few pointers Ant
