Nice work everybody. Looks like everybody is making some sort of progress....everybody that is except me, your fearless campaign leader I've even stalled on my 1:1 project as I am waiting on parts. I did receive the new Moebius Models release of the flying sub though and it is a beauty of a kit. Maybe some day I'll get a chance to build it. Keep up the good work. "Q"

You aren't the only one going nowhere fast, Matthew.. I have done nothing to the Lola as I am snowed under with four Italeri 234s and one F-104 'World Starfighter'. Lola will just have to wait!

Nice collection, Shaun. Quite a lot of builds to finish.
I have made some more progress on my FW 190D. Not much detail in the cockpit - very 1970ties details.
The gun throughs on top of the engine has been made more deep and small machine gun muzzles inserted.
The propeller has been changed to a Tamiya propeller from my stash and the wheels changed to a set of excellent Eduard wheels.
Comments welcome - more to follow.....

OK, this is my very first campaign, so I am a virgin at this! I have had this vehicle in this state of build for over 2 years now, so this is the perfect campaign for me! I am not near the builder that alot of you are, but its time I got this done.
This is the box lid. You can see the outline of where I had the body laying on the instructions that were laying on the lid. We DO dust the house!
This is the guts of the project. Most of it is done, but just one of those stumbling blocks where I couldn't get motivated.
And finally, here is the body. If there was any more dust on it, it would be a fire hazzard!

DC, welcome to the campaign. As to your subject, that is one of my all time favorite kits from Tamiya. Give it a bath, knock off the cob-webs and get that sucker done! A little Gloss white from a Tamiya rattle can and your in business and damn near finshed. Hell, all of the hard stuff is done....detail painting. Arrgh! That takes forever on these car kits. Looking forward to seeing it complete. Thanks for joining the campaign and welcome aboard. "Q"

I agree with "Q".
Anyway I'm a little late with my projects too.
An almost finished JSU-152 from Zvezda (painting stages), a Faun Transporter and a Pz2000 all 1:35.
Hope to post some progress pics soon..

It's great to see that the idea got a second round (Maybe there should be repeating campaigns with fixed themes...)
I have a MiG-21bis, a Hind-D, and countless of armor kits to finish... (1/48 M-10, Vickers A, and so on, and so on.) I hereby solemnly swear that I shall not open another kit before I finish at least three of these.

Just an update.
Finally got those tracks done, I think I really hate those things. And have been adding all the pieces and am just about ready to paint. Then I can start adding the hessian tape and haybales and straw and weeds and weathering and.....
Thanks for looking,
Bob

Nice work all. Even I have made some minor progress here lately. I have been awaiting parts for my Falcon restoration which has given me some time to spend at the bench. I have this 1/72 X-1A that am have been futzing around with for the "Speed" campaign. Finally got the decals on it this evening. My weights that were inside of it have come loose so it sounds like a baby rattle now and is a tail sitter. I plan on putting it on a base with a tarp or something over the canopy area as it didn't come out all that clear. All that's left are the fiddly bits and a light wash to bring out the panel lines. Anyway, here is what I have gotten completed recently.
Thanks, "Q"

Why it took me so damn long to finish this little kit is beyond me Just put the wraps on it a few minutes ago. I was trying to figure out how to make a little title card for it, then looked at the decal sheet. Right there across the top was my answer. I sprayed the remainder of the sheet with decal set from Testors, let it dry, and then applied it as a regular decal on a piece of scrap plastic sheet I had gloss coated and glued to the base. Worked like a charm. The kit is the Hobbycraft 1/72 offering of the X-1. As I have seen a lot of builds in Chuck Yeagers markings, I decided to go with something a little different. This isn't my best effort by far, but it looks good in the case, and "finished is better than perfect". One down, oh so many more to go! Thanks, "Q"

Great, I’m struggling to get one old kit done and some of you guys are kicking out quantities. A lot of great looking ones at that.
Here’s my update for the weekend; got it painted and the decals on. Next is working on the 4 crew members to fill up the hatches, then I get to start on the Hessian tape. I have been experimenting with different materials, lead sheet seems to be the best but I have to order more. Anyway;
Thanks for looking,
Bob
O'Man I just noticed I turned the mantlet a bit.

...Bob, it just happened that way{mass quantities..}...
Here's what on the table again, that came off the table....uh, here's the stuff anyway-
-dios...one almost done and one that's just a building{flak tower}
-my T-35 and my E-100
-my spaceship arizona
-my L700 dodge stakebed...that dang 3 section back window...I keep crazing/fogging the acitate because of the tight curved sides
-my futuristic sherman walker...I finished the legs but she needs more detail and a base...she has only one leg down from walking
-my chaperral II
-my mack wrecker
...probably won't make the deadline for this build, so I might as well toss this one in too-
-my mack rescue truck

Hi fellow campaign members! Here´s little update to my SU-85m. Painted, decals on, gloss varnish and dark wash. Next planning to add brown wash as mud and dirt on areas where crew has used when climbed on tank.
Hopefully pics aren´t too dark, they were taken in hurry. Family issues you know......

I may do this in the spirit of the campaign by digging up a model I started and had no intention of finishing until some aftermarket 'help' came around to make it worth building(to me at least). So probably my Revell 1/35 Panzerhaubitze PzH 2000 with its god-awful tracks may get the chance to come out to play.

Hi Bob,
That's a nice looking Firefly you have there - there's just one detail for you to sort out (as well as that mantlet).
The Firefly had no hull gunner, the space being taken up with ammo storage for the very large 17pdr rounds, so probably no need to have a periscope in the hatch nor any need to have the hatch open - also cuts the number of visible crerw members you have to model..!
