Hi guys,
Got a lot of work done on this, can,t to much but sit around so here is what I have so far.
Built a second floor and front door out of balsam wood first time working with this stuff
put a wash on the front of the building
also did the inside wall with some wallpaper and put a gravel walk around the front
Added some rubble and sprayed it down with some clear. waiting for it to dry and ill get some photos of it later.

Hi Al,
Thanks that does help. This was my first attempt at British troops or at a camo pattern. I used the lighter color as the base coat, I probably should have used the darker one and added the lighter to that. also my web gear should have been lighter. Had some trouble getting to the computer to do research for this one, daughter home from school and hogging the computer and I relied on the box for the colors. But thanks again, I learn a little more every time I go on this sight. Next set of British Paras will be better.

ok guys,
Here is my entry to the campaign. These chaps will eventuality be taking on and armored column but that is still a long ways off. Al helped me out with some paint color suggestions that I will use the next time I do British Paratroops. Thanks again Al. The clear coat was still a little wet when I took these and my photography skills are not the best. Guess they matches my painting skills Any suggestion, comments are welcome as I am always willing to learn. Looks like I'll be laid up for a few more months so more building and learning to come.
The rubble is made from broken up plaster of paris and some old shredded plywood
Simon over at the MiniArt Campaign told me how to do the wallpaper so I figured I would try it out here. Thanks again Simon.

Hi Sal,
Not a bad idea but you need to work on the figures, get the colours right and try not to finish them with a shine.
Hi Roman,
That's a neat little scene you have going there, look forward to developments. Don't know what happend to the Campaign leader, seems to have disappeared and I can't remember off hand when this one is supposed to end.
Either everyone is holding back for a big bang finish or it's kinda fizzled out.
The figures work well with in you setting nice start.

The only ribbon image that comes to my mind would have a bridge on it ("A Bridge Too Far"). Not sure if anything else would be more appropriate. Anyone else have any ideas?

A set of para-wings, glider or parachute would do, as Operation Market Garden was a British affaire.
My thoughts would be to look to the unit insignia.

I came up with this one;
The green stands for all the soldiers involved, the red/white/blue for the colours in the Dutch, British, US and Polish flags and the picture in the middle says it all...

Well gentlemen,
the campaign is almost over. You have untill midnight tonight to upload the pictures of your finished builds.
Since our campaignleader is MIA, Gary suggested I'd take over, so that at least ribbons can be awarded.
So far 3 contributors have uploaded pictures;

All,
I made a few additions to my vignette. I consider this one done. Pictures are also uploaded to the gallery.
This was a great campaign! Too bad it sort of died at the end there. Thanks To Alan who kept the campaign alive. I'm definitely envious of the amount of stuff you keep churning out and the level of quality your are able to do it at!

Nice addition to this vignette! Makes it much more alive.
Well gentlemen, this campaign has come to an end.
Thanks everyone for a great campaign and it is indeed a shame that it did die out.
We are having some trouble uploading the ribbon, but once that is solved you will get it!
You deserve it!
