Well, not totally correct.....you don't actually "need" it for a C2 MEXAS......but it for sure helps with adding the details.
The specific parts that would appear only on a C2 MEXAS are the add-on front fenders and the turret mounted chiller box for the cooling unit.
That being said...the front fenders can be seen ripped off many Leopards in Afghanistan and to use the chiller box you will have to add the thermal covers to the turret and the hull.
The key is to do your research, know what you are modelling, and just don't add things from a set because you have the parts at hand.
The set is terrific and it can be used to enhance any Leopard C1 or Leopard C2 project....but again, know what parts to use and which not to use depending on the version you are modelling.

Jason I'm not doing any reserch, I'm just going to ask you.
just joking. Alot of the parts on the PE set is good for any Loepard 1 and the resin parts are good for all kinds of builds. At 17 euro its a great deal. I would like to see more of this kind of product, a little resin mixed with a little PE, not many companies doing it like this.

Well I'm not sitting on the each of my chair waiting for new products but if they do more sets like that one for the Leopard I think they can make a few sales.

Me too please! That looks pretty sharp Rick, I think epoxy putty is the way to go. I guess the only way for me to find out for sure is to do some experimenting! I was thinking thick tissue (like you get with a new pair of shoes) but I wonder what the wrinkling will be like. Can hardly wait to see how yours looks when it's painted.

ok ok
So the product is patent by Canadian gouv. stedfast has license to make since it was developed jointly. The product allows heat reduction by more than 45F. it is deployed now in Afghanistan on leopard tank and they love it. It has lot of advantage comfort of the user, electronics, and ammunitions and also for containers allow saving fuel (air conditioning).

In regards to the love part, not so much.My tank was done and we had to modifiy it and it was a pain to conduct maint. on the beasts , allways in the way, and never had the time to do it. It worked but at 65c it was still that hot in the tank, it just made it easier to climb on without gloves or fear of burning our hands doing so.
My 2 cents as a first hand user across the pond.
Cheers
