What going on Rick? Did you throw it at the wall? Any updates.
My cat, Gordon, almost kicked my build on the floor.
No updates as i'm still in Kingston and wont be home till Friday.
When I get setup in my new house my cats will NOT have access to the workshop LOL.
Thanks Jaymes!
cheers

Well I didn't make Capcon
as I have just returned from my house hunting trip on Friday.
Got a little more done to the turret today, finished off the anti slip on the blanket.
Masked it off and brush painted with black enamel paint and then while still wet sprinkled on some baking powder.
Then when dry airbrushed some colour concentrating around the edges to give it a more worn appearance.
cheers

A little update, got the weathering started with a nice heavy coat of pigments. Going to tone them down after they dry,
I'm hoping to get this and the Coyote done for the HeritageCon IV in Hamilton next month (fingers crossed)
cheers

Todays little update
Still mucking around with the MIG pigments. Trying not to get brush marks and for more of a random effect I used a tissue to dab the wet pigments with.
Gettin closer to the end, i'm almost done with the weathering.
Just a bit more detail work to do on the tow cables and spare tracks ect.
Have even started on the time consuming HKCW tracks, should have started with these LOL.
Now to get some stowage and figures!
cheers

Rick,
Nice to see this build up and going again. Good work with the weathering. The tracks looks like a few hours of fun
.
The shackle on the rear lifting hook look really big but you probably have checked your references.
One question to you:
Italeri have asked via their home page what future kits the community would like to see from them (
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/152844&page=1 ). As they are about to (re-)release the Leo 1A5 I thought about the C2 MEXAS. Would it "just" be adding new sprues to the A5 kit to make it a C2 (add-on armour, stowage boxes etc.), or would they have to redo the basic kit moulds as well (hull, turret etc.)? Do one have to cut details of the original parts or is it just to swap/replace them? If they can use what they aleady have and just add the C2 details they might be interested.
Again: good to your progress again.
Cheers,
/E

Ya the shackle may be a little large LOL, i'm gonna check that out.
As far as prducing a MEXAS from the leopard 1A5 kit you would need all the Canadian C2 specific parts such as the turret bins, periscope covers, opticals, antennae bases ect. As well as the MEXAS armour modules themselves. Somebody like Jason or Anthony would be more informed than I to answer on the specifics. But i'm pretty sure the basic hull, running gear, turret, and gun are good to go.
cheers

The hull and turret can be used to make the C-2 MEXAS, just you will need the conversion kit for the add on armour and back bins from Maple Leaf Models when they re-open. If you have any questions about the C-2 send me a PM as I Commanded one for 7 months in the sandbox and have a first hand knowledge on the beasts and the Leo 2A6M CDN.
Cheers

Great job on the figures. I was debating on buying them and your post just sold two more.
I hope Real Models does more Canadian modern figures.

Rick,
I like the painting of the crew
and have one question/constructive opinion.
Will there be any troops on the ground communicating with the crew? The reason for asking is that otherwise it doesn't make much sence with the commander pointing. Either they are looking at a soldier on the ground and pointing out a direction for him or they (the crew) should be looking in the direction pointed out (or at least the guy pointing should). I hope this make sence...
Cheers,

Rick
You might want to get rid of the C7A2's with ELCAN sights never used in the Panzers as we used C8HB with EO-TECH sights.
