Just joined this forum. I read all 6 pages of this build and now I'm speechless. The thermal blankets turned out excellent. I do have one question. I tried to access MapleLeaf Models web site and it doesnt work, does anybody know what going on? I would like to get the Mexas upgrade for the c1 and c2. Thanks and keep up the excellent work.

Rick

You might want to get rid of the C7A2's with ELCAN sights never used in the Panzers as we used C8HB with EO-TECH sights.

Anthony

Thanks Anthony, ya the loader's rifle has the EO-Tech. There was only one C-8 with it in the MLM set LOL.

Speaking of which, there were some troops on my tour going back to the ELCAN from the Eo-Tech as most engagements were well over 100m and the added magnification from the ELCAN was welcomed.

Thanks Paul, glad to have you along!

Thanks Nick!

Tonights entry, got the rollers completed with the addition of the dog bone, some water boxes and secured the cooler. Added slings to the rifles and started on the Barracuda cam for the sun shade.

Rick
Very nice job!
Is the camo net the one from Echelon and how was it to work with?
I too am waiting for the Mexas Armour from MLM, but have the Echelon camo for a Leopard 2A6M, that I'm working on. So any info on this camo would help.
Thanks

Hey Anthony,

Yes the camo is the Barracuda cam from Echelon. It works just like a decal. Soak it in water and peel it from the backing paper. then let it dry before you handle it. Follow the instructions that come with he product and you'll be fine. I'm gonna get back to the workbench this weekend and finish off the sun shade if all goes well.

I used the Echelon Modern Camouflage Netting part number D356070 in tan. The holes are shaped a little like the letter "C".

Thanks Jason,

Also found out threw an epic failure that if you spill CA glue on the Echelon cam print then try to use de-bonder to unstick it from the cutting mat it pretty much disolves

Thanks fellas!

Paul, the shackle first pictured was built using miliput. While mucking around I managed to snap it . So I have since made a new one with lead solder. It's a little smaller diameter but I think will work out just fine.

Finished pics to come
