That is great news. I was almost done with my Trumpter LAV-R. A couple nights ago, I was showing it to my nephew and I DROPPED it. It landed perfectly upside down. I am not sure if I want to build the broken and missing pieces from scratch of buy another kit for the pieces.

I have to apoligze for my delay in posting any progress photos or details. My wife has been sick since July, she has her days but we’re moving forward. I was able to get back to modeling and wanted to finish my entry.

My project is Italeri’s M977 HEMTT converted into a M983A1 recovery truck. I started out with reference from the net than moving onto a tech manual. Most of it was built using Evergreen Plastic.

The truck I’m building has been armored plated and named “dragzilla”

I started this earlier this year, I plan on to finish on time.

Happy Modeling,

Next I started on the main winch.

I had to remove a section of the frame.

I am coming in just under the wire. I have been trying to find my memory card with all the few inprocess I had. It is no where to be found. My entry is the Verlinden M578 light Conversion on the Italeri M107 Mad Dog Howitzer. The boom is very heavy and causing problems with the cable and hook. I have broke the hook twice, and the antena off when I moved it to take pictures. The figures are a combination of a few companies. Most Verlinden's. Everything is painted in Model Masters Enamal paints, trying to use the last of them up. Here are the pictures and I will put a couple in the campaign gallery.

Hello everyone,

Thomas, the M578 looks great. Nice unusual subject as well.
Joe, your work is impressive, as always! I do look forward the completion of 'Dragzilla'

I managed to get the primer on today. More to follow soon.

All the best,
Brian

This is the main tow cable.

Here I did some dry fitting of the components; also it will be easier to paint the parts separately

Here are some of the interior and cab pieces. I cut out the glove box and the roof top above the passenger seat for the gun ring and gunner.

I always trim the edges of the glass in black, doing this will look more realistic. Without it just looks like a piece of plastic.

Next I started on the armored plates covering the cab. I also used Archers weld beads decals.

Here is the tow bar assembly , it fits on the tow bar hitch ball.

Here are some of the sleeved pieces that slid onto the tow bar, they are different for the many towing connections. Sorry I but unknown to their name.

Here they are installed into the bed box where they belong. Each have there own spot, each pair slide over a pipe fitted to the bed box floor and locked down.

More to follow,

Happy New Year,
Joe

Happy new year folks, well I had a good start to my 2011 building! I spun around on my chair and bashed in to the shelves that have all my tools and paint on them, the whole lot ended up on the floor and ended up getting water on my digital camera and the side of my computer! lets hope that is not how I mean to carry on for the rest of the year .

Got some weathering on the lower hull.

yes, that dried up mud and dirt is painted on very real looking

OK, since there is a postponed deadline, I'll try and slam this IT-28 by ICM out. We went fishing of the local pier, so I brought the kit along

the lower hull bottom part was warped at this stage. I dipped into a pot of hot water last night and straightened it out
