@ Zon- tracks are coming along- are the l&l, vinyl or individual links? I had a run in with l&l tracks recently and I came out the worst of that one!
Eoin: They are l&l, with about 23-24 indies per side. On this one, the biggest challenge was not having direct access to the top because of the bottom of the upper hull being molded to the lower hull. On my first run, I think pushed them too tight and ended up about half a link too short. With a little massaging, I finally got them lined up OK, but it is a bit of a mess. The second run came out well.
Good luck with your tracks and brave of you to brush on white!

Hi Gary,
Maybe a silhouette of a bofors, 88 or even a Stinger missile would be relatively distinctive for an AA campaign???
My two cents,
Eoin

To bad it has to be small. Otherwise the old sticker from a german SAM unit would be nice

yes...i know...been busy. This was probally not the year for me to try to run a campaign! Sorry guys...
I actully have a ribbon in works. A jet in target sight... If somebody wants to play with it some more, or do something else let me know..ill send you the file (microsoft paint).
I was also thinking of something like an armored fist crushing a aircraft, but again....time.....

I'm willing to try, but I'm a total hack and just trying to learn Paint and Photoshop, so no guarantees...

Here is the ribbon I did for Tank Killers. Maybe someone can use this as a base for this campaign's ribbon.

Here is what I came up with.
Take #2. Made the helicopter larger.

Here is what I was starting on for the ribbon:
I guess I could finish it off....
Though I do like the idea of a silhouette...maybe a Wirbelwind, Quad 50, or duster? something easy to recongize. Thoughts?

Gary: I like the second from the bottom. I think it is a better concept to show an aircraft in the sights, rather than an iconic a-a gun. my 2 cents.

Eoin: How easy is that kit to build?
Zon: How are those vinyl hoses holding up? It looks like they are keeping their shape well after you reworked them.
Gary: I like the second from last as well. Nice work and your fine detials keep looking better with the ribbon proposals you've been putting out lately.
James: Great to see your work in a campaign!
I'll have to drop the Tristar Flakpanzer I was going to build and go with somehting quick and simple if I'm going to make the deadline

James: Looks good, particularly the gun shield. Nice PE work.
Jeremy: The vinyl hoses are hold shape, thankfully. I also have 6 more to connect the missiles, which I now have under weight to get the coil out. The heat seems to be working there too. Also, I hear you on the flakpanzer. So many tiny pieces, and it very quickly becomes paint as you go...
Rob: very nice combination and an excellent paint job. Congrats!!
I've started pre-shading the upper hull and hope to have photos later this week.

Rob: Looks nice and used, I dig the kill marking too. Are they handpainted?
Zon: Yeah, big time. I'll set the kit aside for later and maybe use it for a dio with a full crew and all. I'll hit the lhs this week and see what they have in the way of quick builds.

Jeremy, As I recall, this one builds up fairly quickly:
http://www.spruebrothers.com/Nexternal/135-tamiya-german-8-ton-half-track-sd-kfz-71-35050.htm Or even just the flak gun by itself on the trailer mount. You could probably finish the build over a weekend, and another few days for paint.
Good Luck!!

Nice details, James. The build is coming along nicely.
Gary, I like ribbon no. 2 from the bottom.
Rob, very nice build. Nice details to add the spare wheels and water cans. Also a nice feature to cut down the cab to give free fields of fire and no glare from the windshield. Great build.
