Just came across the thread - I am in! I have a bunch of the Trumpeter KVs in the stash (and a couple I built). With luck, I'm picking up Neil's KV book tomorrow as well. The hard part will be holding off starting...

Love the Trumpeter kits!

Thanks Warren -- just signed up. Have a couple of Trumpeter KVs in the stash. I guess for now the hardest part is keeping my hands off them till the campaign starts. Cheers -- Tat

Same here.. Second hardest is to decide, which kit to pick.

What a nice dilemma!

The postman bought the latest Trumpeter 1939 model the other day so it adds one more to the possibles. I think I will build one just to warm up for the main event.

Would someone like to design a banner?

Trumpeters KV models are excellent for the price and far better than the Tamiya offering. Yes you can make improvements, but you can't beat them as far as bang for your buck goes.

Yes Sal, you are going to buy a KV..

You can pick them up for way under $20 and they are a great kit. Fit is good, very little flash.. Paint schemes are simple, or difficult if it is a German three-color scheme..

Don't bother with the Tamiya one though.. Overpriced as usual.

Ok I know I said I was looking at the Trumpeter Models KV 1 small turret, but I found the Tamiya 1 at a really great price and the guy sounded like he could use some help in the cash department, who can't these day. It also comes with a TMP PE set, what ever that is. So I told him to ship it to me. So I guess I will go sign up. Dam these things are addicting.

Hi Warren,

I am in for the KV campaign. I will be building and modifying a Tamiya KV I kit to make it look more recent.

Cheers

As required by Warren, here are four banners for this campaign to help spread the word on the forum.

Hope you like them

Those banners are awesome Jesper! I never seem to have an imagination for those sort of things, or the ability to produce them software-wise!

Thanks heaps mate!

Nice idea, even if I´m not going to join this -as I´m too lazy and slow to finish any campaign or group build I´ve ever joined- but I´ve always liked the KV series and love the concept of the same model painted by a lot of different modellers so you can appreciate a varied approach to weathering/finishing without the distraction of the model itself.

A must have to the KV in model form is Neil Stokes´ webpage:

[url=http://www.4bogreen.com/kv-series[/url]

As said Trumpeter KV series is great and cheap too.
I built one some time ago and liked it a lot. A good and straighforward build:

Looking forwardm this campaign if finally approved.

Regards,

César

Banners seem to be working now. I tried all 4 and they showed up in my profile.
