Bruce, I fell in love with that Tilly Which scale is it, 1/48 or 1/35? Compared to your hand it looks 1/35, but I couldn't be sure.

Hi Keith,
Jeep's coming along well.
Bruce,
Nice work on the Tilly, the enclusion of the engine makes for a nice option to finish it off with the bonnet up.
Keep em coming guys.

thanks guys, the Tilly is 1/35 scale but still pretty tiny. i saw most pics of the canvas tarp as sandy tan colour but i had some reference pics of the canvas being a lighter shade of the the body green and thought i'd do it that way to make it look different. found some written references as well as the Tamiya paint instructions that some Tillys had their canvas green.
i am one of those modelers that enjoys painting his vehicles in the least documented versions so that it doesn't look like everyone elses. i am a huge fan of verlinden's olive drab tiger, may not have actually existed (though one veteran said he saw it and paint was in huge shortages) but what a work of art.
thanks for the colour input, i really appreciate getting feedback that helps me question my rationale from people in the know. cheers, bd.

Well ive just blown the dust of this thing.
Today i have managed to get a few hours on this now i am on holiday ,so i decided to build up paint and fit the rear axels, the 5th wheel ,the checkerplate gearbox cover and the airfilter stacks.
The tractor unit is starting to take shape now
With a bit of luck i may just get this build wrapped up before i go back to work in a fortnight.

Hi guys,
after having a great christmas dinner last night I decided to work a bit on my Tatra. I have to build this one from the inside out, so engine bay and cab interior first, glue it all together and paint the exterior
what I did after my last post but before the paint was:
- make the windows from plastic sheet, took me several hours
- scratchbuild the rear bumper since the kit one was a blob of resin
- adding some struts seen on photos but not provided in the kit
I did some airbrushing of the basic colours of interior parts, after drying I'll add the details and handbrush them
after test spraying some ofthe wheels, I found out how really crap they are
this is where I am working right now, my new mancave. Please note my step/workbench and my luxurious upside down bucket seat
cheers,
Matthijs

Awesome builds coming along guys!
Here's my build:
I actually started at the launch date for the campaign, but don't have much to show this far. I took this photo back then as well.

Hey guys, I was pretty excited to get this kit. It's super small, not that you wouldn't have guessed that already. I did a quick test fit of the major interior part with the chassis plate and body shell and it fit real nice like a Tamiya kit so I have high hopes for the build. The driveshaft however has been a pain in the rear to sand the seams off of.
Scott: I like the MAN series of trucks, and I was wondering how they build up. Would you have any pointers to offer?

Aloha All,
Some very nice builds going on in this campaign. I received an early Christmas present in the form of Tamiya's 1/48th scale Humvee, so I thought this would be an appropriate campaign for it. If not, I can come back with a Kubelwagen.
This built up pretty fast, as I've probably got less the 10 hours in on the build so far. Next will be to paint the interior then finish assembly.
Thanks for looking.

Hay Jeremy the kit builds up really well, only pointer i would say is to watch the suspension and axles as they can get out of line very easily.
Here is a WIP pic.

Happy New Year, Guys !!!
Sorry that I have not been more involved in this thread. Barely had time to check all the great work being posted here, which is really a shame, cause there are some masterpieces to be found.
The holidays have at least given me time to finidh my 1/72 SdKfz10 Demag from the relatively new company MPK. If this kit is anything to go buy, they have a great future ahead of them. This kit is great !
Cheer guys !

G'day everyone, I have a 1/35 Revell Unimog and a 1/35 LKW Wolf in the post, and when they arrive I intend to enlist for this campaign. There's some seriously sweet builds here! I hope my trucks will look half as good as some of these when done!
The Unimog will be my first truck build, i've been building aircraft and ships for years though.
Cheers,
Alex
