Almost done with the Schwimmwagen, I need to touch up a little and dullcoat. I wasn't happy with the folded top so I made one out of tissue paper. Please let me know if I need to fix anything before i finish.

I have made a little progress with my DUKW

All the assemblies are dry fitted for the photos, so some parts may not be correctly placed.

I found the that skirts around the front wheels prevent me from fitting the wheels if I install the suspension following the normal build sequence so I am going to install the complete suspension unit with wheels after painting.

Jim: how do you accomplish such fine work on your chassis in this scale, I have trouble being able to see to build mine.

Optivisors Man - Optivisors! It really helps out in seeing the small details while working. Once you buy a set (get the LED lit lens retrofit too) you'll never go without them again!

I need a little assistance in where I should place two braces that are attached to the radiator. My aftermarket kit shows to add two braces to the radiator one on each side but I can't find a picture of one installed. Attached is a photograph of my engine compartment with two locations marked as 1 and 2 where I believe the brace might be located.

Also here is a quick shot of the installed engine and partial cab.

Bob,

very interesting stuff. I like it.

Anyway, I put the decals on my goat and painted the lights. The tires are already weathered. They're just dry fitted for the photos.

Now it's time to start weathering.

Any comments welcome

Hi Bob, Sven and Neal,

Great work guys, the Ford T and the Goat are impressive, I really like the look of the Ford T and th Goat is unusual, first time I've seen one.

Lots of great builds coming along folks , terrific stuff. I've started on my Chevy 30cwts but mainly clean up and planning at this stage. I'll post up some pics at the weekend if the light is good.

Hi everyone,

Some great models in the works... Keep up the good stuff!

As for me... I think I managed to complete my Mutt after a 20+ day hiatus. I bought a new house as I'll get married next year and I've been modeling 1/1, so little time remains for scale models.

Anyway, here's my Mutt. It's still drying, so I might take final pictures with white background tomorrow the earliest.

Currently I have something else on the bench... but the Citroen will also follow shortly, IF I can fix the broken windshield. I have made a new one, but I need to fine-tune it.

Thanks Sven... I liked your gamma goat a lot! Nice painting!

Hi Sal! Mud splatter is pretty easy, but takes some practice to get it right. I basically prepared a paint mixture. Then I dipped a thick brush into my mixture... held it in front of the model, then with my airbrush I blew air onto the brush. The paint on the brush is splattered on the model.

Beware though... the thickness of the paint, the distance of the brush to your airbrush and your model and the air pressure can change your results... Practice first, then try it on your model, it is easy to overdo it and/or get overscale results.

Finally got around to finish my L4500 Maultier.

Model: Mercedes L4500 Maultier
Scale: 1/35
Manufacturer: Zveda (Revell has the same kit)

Since one of the few pictures of the vehicle shows one with a painted/cammoed tarp I have done mine the same way

I realized I forgot the side mirror. With that attached, my project is complete. Now, where's the campaign gallery?

Very nice build, Emre. I really like the camouflage and the light wethering. I will have to use your mud splatter technique on my next build.

Thanks for sharing

Hello
From Mark
New to the group, and thought it would be nice to start in on a Campaign.
My first it a Tamiya 1/35 Kubelwagon type 82, and hope to add to the list two others.

So I start today, and let see how long it take from a HO Train guy to finish a small kit.lol
