I did join the campaign. I am not sure what i am going to build but i have a choice of either an airplane or some armor stuff. I will try to build at least one of each. I belive it will be Fokker porucznika Stefana Steca, whos personal emblem become an official emplem of Polish Airforce. As a armor i am thinking of Achilles, I have few other models to choose so i can change my mind but for sure i will build something:)

Welcome Tom,

I'm looking forward to your builds.

Cheers

Hi Jeremy..

I am not sure.. I think it came out well for what I wanted, but it could be better as in more wear in some places... But the technique seems to be sound. Maybe smaller salt crystals might work better?? I am not a big fan of lots of wear and grime on a tank. I don't know why but I don't think many tanks in WW2 lived long enough lives to get much wear on them, but definitely a bit of grime at times. Then again it could be looking terribly muddy etc and then do a river crossing and be clean again. Also, I am sure that if they survived long enough to require maintenance one of the first things they would do is try and give the tank a bit of a wash just to make maintenance easier.. Who knows.. That is what makes this hobby so good. No one is ever really 100% wrong with there grime and wear.... except of course those with there 2 inch wide panel lines on aircraft...

Good to hear, I may need to apply that technique to my build. And I agree with your comment on weathering, it adds some nice flexibility to the hobby

I am about to start on my UM models T-34/85 DT-5. I have found a few colour profiles for this type of tank as inspiration. I have do the markings in the same style, but I will not make any particular tank.

More to follow when work gets underway.

Jesper, that is a nice kit I had no problem with mine.

I applied future and will do some oil pin wash then more future and an oil filter. The tracks played the devil with me, I dont like them they are worse than Italeri track.

Good start Marcin,

1 project per Campaign though. Aren't you also building this for the "Target's shoot back Campaign" ?

Cheers

Quick question guys, did the Soviet supplied Polish tank crews wear Soviet uniforms? My kit came with a pair of figures, but they are in Russian uniforms as the kit is intended to depict a Soviet vehicle.

Paul: I thought I had four options, but the fourth was a Finnish unit that I assume was captured from the Polish. I have the options of an unidentified unit, a unit from the 3rd Battery 13th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment, and one from the 338th Guards Heavy Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment. The last two have pretty cool markings, but only the second one has the White Eagle emblem.

To stay completely in the spirit of the campaign I will use some decals made by the Polish company Kagero.

It's always been an assumption on my part but the rules don't explicitly dis-allow it. I will leave it up to the campaign leader's judgement. Armorama campaign proposals will now require this to be explicitly stated in the rules.

1 Campaign per model, this Campaign's rules have been updated to reflect this.

Don't worry, I didn't attach the hull pieces together yet, or the gun for that manner

Me too, but I'm glad I got something done

May get some more work done over the next couple of days if the weather doesn't get better. Otherwise I need to get some builds painted for a couple of campaigns I'm overdue on

Hello guys,

I started my little project, the PZL P.11c.

The cockpit is very poor but it doesn't matter cause it isn't visible.
I added seatbelts made of tape.

Now, fuselage, wings etc. are assembled and need a little putty and sanding.

Enough words, please watch the pics.

Did a little pin wash with black oil then had too use a cotton swab with thinner to wipe it down since iit was a little thick. Next some more future then a pin wash with Raw Umber thinned down much, then future and an overall pin wash and more future then some rust and a flat clear coat.

Wow, the wash itself has already made an amazing difference, can't wait to see the rest of the weathering!
