Jan,

When does BBII start? I have two little Tigers I'm working on that I could possibly enter...

EXCELLENT job on the campaign!

Thanks Jeremy and Bob, it's the spirit shown by people like yourselves that have made my campaign leader experiences so memorable. I've started on the text to accompany the review and then we have the actual photo editing to do. That last part will be rather time consuming due to all the images. Once the text is ready I would appreciate it being reviewed/edited by yourselves. I'll either post further information here or PM you with a location where you can view it.

@majorjanelson - Jeff, a "Watever II" campaign will not be immediately forthcoming due to wrapping the Feature for this one up. However, a shameless plug, you might consider entering your tiny Tigers for completion in Biggrip74's current "Getter Done Campaign." If time permits I might also enter my Leopard 1A4 in it as I failed to have it ready for this campaign.

A few thoughts for the future!

(a) Matchbox Nostalgia II: Anything Goes - Former Matchbox kits or Revell repops with "no holds barred" modifications allowed.

(b)Braille Battlefield: 2012 Edition - Stricter rules and timetable such as new kits must have at least 100 parts or participants must finish three shelf queens.

(c)Matchbox Universal Campaign[/b] - Any Matchbox kit or repop of any subject. This would be a Kitmaker University type allowing aircraft, ships, figures etc.

Note, anyone should feel free to take it upon themselves to use these ideas to initiate their own campaign proposal.

Cheers,
Jan

Just got back from Melbourne and Model Expo 2011. As per usual things are powering along in this thread.

Great to see.

BTW, throwing ideas into the air, what about an Airfix campaign?

WOW!!! Turn my back for a moment and trying to catch up with this thread is like reading War and Peace each time. Some great last minute stuff and again thanks for the ribbon, Jan

As for another campaign, as long as it's small scale and I'd be interested. Either another Matchbox or what Michael suggested with Airfix. The BB Campaign with a minimal of 100 parts is a little beyond my comfort level at this time.

Regards,
AJ

Please start a new thread for discussing any new campaigns. This one will eventually be locked.

Greetings fellow Braillers. Every time I thing that things have calmed down this campaign rears its ominous presence.

spongya - Andras, you couldn't make it easy for your poor beleaguered campaign leaders! You photo host uses Flash and a modified TIFF format to store their images. The larger images are not download-able except by what they call "friends." Therefore, I was forced to call upon the powers that reside in the second part of my callsign (geek to force the issue. Needless to say, the photos have now been added to the offline Feature gallery.

I will add the new images to the offsite gallery at the soonest opportunity. For any number crunchers, this now brings the total number of photos to work with to 184!!! By my best analysis we have one more person that needs to upload a few better images and then the process should be concluded.

Cheers,

I am truly sorry. I had no clue. Please send me your email address, and I'll send them directly.
And if you're in Norfolk at any times, I'll buy you a beer.

Andras,

No worries at this point. I'll contact you via PM as soon as I have added the pictures to the off-site gallery for your inspection and approval. Should be able to do that in a day or two. (fingers crossed). As soon as the new roof is installed I may take you up on that pint!

Cheers,
Jan

A quick question:

What is the ruling on members posting photos of completed builds that missed the deadline? I'm asking out of interest because there were a few subjects that I'd love to see in their final state (Val's super-detailed M997 amongst others).

I was planning to post some sun lit shots of my campaign builds, but the sun has conspired to only shine when I've been tied up with 'Dad' duties for the last few weeks. Such is life!

Cheers all!!
John

John - I am afraid that the incomplete builds don't qualify for the feature. Even with the small photo extension that was permitted at the end of the campaign, if they had been posted, they would have been included. One must draw the line somewhere.

I know the feeling and then some. Generally in my area we see far more warm and sunny days from the last week of May until November. The absolute reverse of these normal patterns has been the norm this year. We have averaged almost one severe thunderstorm a week while we are generally graced with only one a month.

As for swapping photos for the feature, I am leaving the possibility open as we haven't started the final editing and captioning. Click on my "WWW" tab to go to the off-site BB Campaign Web Site. Your images reside in "Gallery 1" and all have a title/label. Just post the new pictures in this thread and note which image you want them to replace (ie-Replacement for naimbrain_16).

TO those that might be interested, the pieces for the new PanzerRoof were delivered yesterday (Wednesday and yes, we had a thunderstorm)). Today (Thursday) the installers arrived early in the morning and started work on the damaged side first. As of this writing, the armoured roof now covers almost 50% of the main roof. We have been assured it should prove quite watertight even at this point. The darn tarp is finally down and no longer necessary. !!!! Barring any unforeseen circumstances the job should be complete tomorrow.

Even though the BBC is officially over, we still seem to be drawing our fair share of views. I noted today that we crossed the 50,000 view mark. Congratulations to all!!!

Cheers,
Jan

Does this mean that you now will sleep without getting wet and that all important paint job will now be able to accomplish?

PS: I now have (2) 1/72 kits a PST KV8s, and a Dragon Shermon Mk III in my stash. Wonder when I will ever build them. Thanks for the tun Jan Oh that FT17 has disappeared

This was fun. I only wish I had built more

So. When and what is our next project gentlemen? How's about we join the Out of the Box campaign?
