Nice job on the zimmerit, Axel. Looks good under a coat of paint.
Beautiful interior, Graham. The stacks of ammo really looks brutal in a good way.
Looking forward to see more.

Can anyone tell me what the device in the circle is? Is that a fire extinguisher? What color should it be?
Posted: Wednesday, March 02, 2011 - 08:08 AM UTC
Axel, I believe it's a fire extinguisher. Not sure about colours, though - I've seen them painted grey on some models, so that's what I tend to do...

Hi Axle ...Yes it is a fire extinguisher and most times it seems to be the color of the vehicle but dark grey was seen as well ...No red on the exterior ones please!

after goin cross eyed on all the ammo i decided to take a break and do some on the upper hull, and hatchs.
the buggas dont give you the driver and radio op periscopes? that sucks , unless they were'nt in place all the time? i got no idea every other tank i have ever built has them.
probably trumpy at its best again
might have to just make a coupke least thers only two lol.
cheers,
Graham

Hi i hope you had a good weekend, i worked with the paint of my elephant, over the fist coat with dunkelgelb, airbrush the camo squeme with panzer olivegrun and rot braun.
And finally airbrush again with dunkelged with a distance of 30 cm a ligth coat of paint to make soft the edges of the camouflage colors, maybe yiu can see the diferences the the upper photo is without the final coat and the next photos are with the coat.
The next step will be a white wash for winter camo, what do you thinck about the haispray technique, i woulde like to use it.

Excellent works friends!
@ Dani.- great weathering in your Sturmtiger!
@ Bruce D.- excellent weathering too, the invernal version is difficult to make.
@ Graham.- your big cat looks powerfull!
@ MAMOOTH.- ahi la llevas con el gigantón - great work!
@ Bas.- good start with the painting
@ Axel.- good work with the zimmerit and painting - Normally the extinguisher has the color of the tank and some times was part of the camo.
Soon I will start my Tiger, now I am finished my panzer IV.
Regards,
Rodolfo

yep Bas it is the 1/16th scale she's a big cat but its a pitty theres so ,amy silly mistakes in the kit you have to cut the turret ring out so the turret even fits plus bits they smpliy didnt supply.
i got a little painting done and the main gun is under way, still playing with the driveran radio op periscopes.
cheer.

Nice work Kiwi...but you're not selling me on putting up $400.00 for one of them...Looks like a real money pit if you want to do it right . keep up the good work.

yeh Richard ya right if i had known it was as bad as it is i wouldnt have got them either, generally the kit isnt bad but theres just too many silly mistakes on trumpeters part.
I think it'll end up ok in the end but not worth the money thats for sure, i really on kept them as i likt big scale stuff its easier to build sometomes.
cheers,
Graham

this last is the fenders and the exhaust small covers, those small bolts on each side were the pits, all went well
