Isn't there usually an "Enlist" button on the rules page? When I go to that page off of the link proviced in post #1, I don't see a way to enlist ................................. Are you guys trying to tell me something???????
I can see it.
I think when this came up before it has something to do with the way you're logged in.

either US troops funning from german soldiers or russian troops running from german soldiers.
the size is where alot of constraint is for my build. doing 35th scale, its going to be somewhat large as it is. i want to try to keep it a smaller size so it doesnt take up alot of display space. but the pic will give a decent idea of my idea.
not sure of the tank type yet, but will have tank commander pointing out the us/russian troops running down the side streeet. 2 german soldiers firing from around the corner. and one german soldier going into the building doorway.will be adding a soldier jumping from the tank on the nearside.
obvuiously, this is all subject to change ...im glad this campaign came up. ive been needing an idea
Hi Jesse. As I said in the other post my idea is the reverse of this with allied troops and Tank attacking with the Germans on the run
. From your sketch I can see one problem which I've come up against myself- all the figures and the tank are facing towards the rear of the dio. I would play around with the idea using cardboard boxes for buildings and imagine yourself as the viewer and see what view gives you the most dynamic scene

for myself, i'm hoping that i can build one or two dioramas before March 2011. I may do something modern with the AFV Club Stryker MGS i have in my stash. probably have a go at scratchbuilding something afghany-ish or other.
like the ideas everyone has and look forward to seeing them come to fruition.
cheers, bd.

i may actually be straying away from using a tank. i have a halftrack that i have sitting around. so, new vehicle new layout.

John: Good thought, need to dig out my Shep Paine books...
Pat: Perfect! I was just checking that building out on another website. I just picked up a Dragon Abrams and some MB Marines and Insurgents that will work out perfect with this
I'm going to enter the Abrams in the All American Tracks campaign, so I will have to hold on that until June. In the meantime I will read up on some diorama techniques and see what I can do about adding some interior elements to that building as the interior is flat. I will get cracking on the building and figures as soon as the campaign starts
Now I just need to figure out what operation or time frame exactly I am going to be depicting...

This calls for:
A small urban house (german)
A well-kept front lawn/garden (flowers etc)
A group of British Squadies
A MILAN ATGM pit (right in the front lawn)
A fainting elder lady

Hi all, Looking forward to this one. Some Cool Dios planned here. As Stated before, I will go with the Diorama Plus Brickfactory kit. I am thinking of mostly Civilian Figures from Verlinden and Custom Dio to populate the Dio. These figures have been sitting in the stash collecting dust for years. Finally, I think its time to build them. Not sure of a setting yet. Maybe a Berlin 1945 or Warsaw 1944 scene/who knows a March start date is a long way off . Plenty of time to change my mind.

I just saw this over on Kitmaker Benelux site- don't think it has popped up in the news here yet Another factory type building for me to consider
I like the modular approach Miniart have taken with this. Very useful

I like it. I was thinking of doing a Stalingrad type factory setting

I've decided to go big...LOL and have started stockpiling. I've started the figures in my stash and am waiting for more off e-bay as there will inevitably be a lot of them as I'm going for an "in action" dio. I'm going for Caen or Bayeux 1944. I've got the street pretty much mapped out in my head, just need to get the appropriate materials/buildings. Just waiting for the start now

looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm working on finishing up 1 of the other 4 campaigns that I'm working on so as soon as I get caught up I will start on mine.

Hi all,
Pat that is going to be a great diorama, are you going to put some machinery in the factory? I am sure you already have done your research but if you can have a look at the Osprey Stalingrad 1942 book, there is a great drawing that depicts a battle in a factory.
I will be starting on my diorama soon; it will be a scene of a desperate defense by the remaining German troops in a town near Berlin as the Russian troops push forward. For now there is no vehicle but that might change (Definitely over four figures)!
One question: would the streets in such a town be paved or brick??

Looking at some older pictures of my hometown (Westfalia but part of Prussia):
+ In the city it was a combination of cobblestones, bricks (actually stone not firebricks) and tarmac. The latter mostly in new roads. Sometimes cobblestone roads got "tarmaced over" even back then
+ Outside it depended on the road category. Important roads where tarmaced, lesser roads hard packed and degenerating into mud in the fall/spring. Not "Russian" mud, a normal 1970s car could carefully navigate there but "ruin the throusers / prevent cycling" mud.

originally, i was going to do a eurpean theater or russian theater dio. but, i have decided to use the tank that i have for a vehicle. for the vehicle, i wanted to get away from the normal camoflauges that ive done so many times over and do something new. one thing i havent done is a normal african scheme of just desert tan. so, here is what im looking to do, and i do need some help finding a figure or two.....
the vehicle is a 1/35 tiger 1. there will be 2 focal figures. there will be a total of probably 4 but only 2 or 3 will make a real statement as to the story that it is telling. the building will be very simple. 4 wall, small african house that has a flat roof and a half wall around the top . very similar to housing in iraq.
one of the focal figures is the tank commander. im looking currently, and think i have found a pose, that shows the commander listening eagerly to what another soldier would be giving direction to. the soldier that is giving the direction. this soldier, i would like to pose on the outside stairwell on the house as if he came down off of the roof top to direct the panzer to enemy position and in dramatic fashion, telling the commander, contact front!
i want to have a real dynamic scene instead of being real one dimensional and bland as if i took a set of figures and just placed them. i really want to tell a story with this one.
i am, however, having a hard time finding that solder that has his hand out pointing to the direction . any help on that would be great. i will be willing to do a minor adjustment to a pose if needed, but id prefer not to. anyone know of a vendor that has a good pose of that soldier i seek?
