Still can't figure out why I can't get any pictures to post. I am using Photo Bucket. It is like a crap shoot trying to get them to post.
I am hoping to get it done in time.

I can see them
We have an unofficial extension of one month so the campaign gallery will remain open to allow people to finish their projects but no one new will be able to enlist in the campaign.
I Hope that will be be enough time for a good number to finish

Pat: Many thanks on the un-official extension. I will make use of it and will post some "where I am" photos soon.

Aloha,
I've actually switched builds for this campaign. While I was originally going to do an Iraqi street scene, the other elements of that diorama weren't coming together, so I put it on hold. Consequently, I've switched to an abandoned urban gas station to work with my entry for the What If 2 campaign vehicle. The photos below will give you some idea of the store and the canopy. I've assembled most of the components and need to paint and figure out the base.

Hi folks,
Good to hear there is an extension to finish off. Even with a month I'll not get my vehicles built so as an alternative and to finish the campaign I'll offer up 'Squatters' or 'No Work Today' if you prefer.
Cheers
Al

Alan: making good progress. Any decisions on vehicles?
I've managed some progress, but it's going slowly.

Well I made a little more progress. I started painting the base and building. They both have most of the basic paint. I have to still do the detail painting. I finally figured out what figures I am going to use. I am hopping to be able to finnish it this weeked.
As always all comments welcome.

Hi Zon,
Thanks. No final decisison on the vehicles yet, it's likely that for the campaign I will only get to finish off the basic building and some of the players.
Good work folks, hope the extra time is useful to you all.
Cheers

Well I figure out what vehicle I will use now. The one I was using turned out to be a piece of s___. I had to hack the crap out of the driver to try and get him to fit , by that time the figure was abot trash. So I tried to fit the cab on the frame and none of the pieces lined up right . Then the frame broken during that. So into the scrap box it went. I have to figure out what I am going to use now . So hopefully later today I can get back out to my room and figure it out. Thanks all for leytting me vent.

Finally made some progress. Now for the rubble and the weathering. This MAY actually come together in time:

Well I have a replacement for the truck. It is an old Tamiya Russian jeep kit I had hanging around. I also made some more progress on the base and figures.

Thanks for extension which made me hopeful for finishing. My Panther, making for "under a different flag" campaign, is ready to paint. Unfortunately My Hetzer is under construction because of tiny tracks. I have developed my own method to hasten making 1/72 thin tracks.

Hi Pat,
I've posted up Part 1 (squatters) which is as far as I'll get at the moment but I think there is enough there to complete?
It's been a very interesting campaign, good luck on the finish folks.

That's enough for a ribbon Alan
Midnight on saturday is the cut off point so anybody who doesn't have their photos in the Campaign album by then won't get a ribbon. If anyone is having problems uploading then PM me and I'll give you my email adress to send the photos to and I'll upload them when I can.
get cracking folks

Alan: good run on that one. still looking forward to the vehicles.
Even with the extension I won't make it. I've finished most of the assembly, with the exception of the canopy, which is waiting for the column to dry, and the ceiling, which has to wait for some detail painting and weathering.
The concept is an abandoned convenience store / gas station that will be used as a temporary rest stop for my What If 2 Campaign vehicle entry (which is also behind schedule).
Unfortunately, I doubt I will be able to work on it any more this evening or tomorrow, although I will try.
Without further adieu, my failing entry for this campaign.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Pat: your scene looks great. Superb painting on the buildings and rubble, and the figures look good to me too.
