Hi Pat,
Great progress, I was wondering where the pile of bricks on the facing LHS are coming from as you seem to be adding a partial roof? Just a thought?
Cheers
Al
Well the bricks are not all meant to be from the same building- I'm trying to portray a sea of rubble-
taking a slightly different direction now

great progress Pat and Matt, been following everyone's work on this fun campaign. one thing that can help is having a deadline to keep things rolling but don't worry too much as slow and steady always gets you to the finish line as well.
looking forward to seeing all the entries. cheers, bd.

I am stuck on trying to clean the large portion of this base, but it should paint up nicely once I'm finished with that step.
Here are a few quick photos of my project:
Having major trouble getting this cleaned up...
This is warped, but I'll have to live with it for now
The foam did cut very nicely though.
And this is a mock up of the scene:

are you using a dremel for any resin work? if not, i suggest it. it will make cleanups such as the one you are trying, much easier. they have many different types of attachments such as sanding wheels, cutting wheels, and engraving tools. an engraving tool looks like ti would help out alot there.

Thanks Jesse, i'll try out those bits on it tomorrow and see what i can knock out of the way. I've been hesitant to try them because of the weird angles.

ya, it is a bad area to try to get to. But, since the engraving bits are pointed like a drill bit, you should have an easier time getting to it. also, they do have the pointed grinding tips that you might want to try also---
http://power-tools.hardwarestore.com/63-378-hobby-bits-grinding.aspxhttp://brands.hardwarestore.com/378-2892-dremel.aspxfor that awkward spot, using the grinding tips might make it easier

This is looking grand. I really like your building and the civilians fit the scene well. Excellent stuff.

Jesse: Thanks for the links. I have most of those dremel bits, and I have the stones as well but they are pretty worn down. I never thought of using the stones on resin, I'm used to using them on iron and aluminum. I'll make sure to pick some up next time I'm out running errands.
Pat: Those figures really add an incredible atmospheric quality to your diorama. I can't wait to see them painted

Hi folks,
I'm unlikely to get finished but have made a little progress.
Added some railings around the graveyard and a bench for fokls to sit on.
None of the furniture I have really fits with the building so I may just add some more rubble instead.
and part of the second floow in the house.
I have soem of the MiniARt Doors which I cut diown and might work for the windows!?

Hi folks,
Well I made a bit of an effort to move things along this week, which at least gives me the chance of finishing the base for the campaign. That and the sleeping troops might give me enough to complete!
