Dan, I like your weathering on a nice build only one point that needs to be attended to. Jeremy and I need to come by and relieve you of some of that stash, just to give you more room to get some more

Alright fellas, I've just gone through the exhausting work of recreating my spreadsheet for this campaign. For those of you that don't know, I lost the original file when my computer crashed.
I can't believe we are at 63 enlisties, I bet Noel never thought that his campaign would draw in so many recruits!
We have 7 finished entries and 14 in the works, not counting multiple builds, and we still have 6 months to go! Don't hold back gang, let's keep those builds coming!!

Hi Folks,
I am still waiting for my aftermarket bits for the Morser, so I decided to get on with something else in the meantime. I found the ICM SdKfz 222 in my stash and managed to get the Goffy interior detail set for it. I am going to press on with this if that is OK, as I don't know when my other bits are going to arrive. At least I can get this finished within the time left. Here are the obligatory shots of the starting point.
I hope to get cracking with this and post some progress shots soon.
All the best,
Paul

Awesome Paul, looking forward to it! You can always build the Morser later if you get the AM parts in time.

Update on Panzer III Ausf G (Cyber 9116 - old Imperial Series 9032) took some photos with tools and equipment installed to check fit, prior to primer paint, will remove and paint tools and equipment separate from vehicle.

Well, I originaly enlisted when this campaign was first suggested, and last week I un-enlisted due to being signed up to about a hundred campaigns, then I got a message from our esteemed campaign leader, and now I'm back in. I will be doing Tamiya's lovely Type 82 Kubelwagen that I have just ordered, I will post some pics when it arrives, and as I start it.

Dan: Looks even better with the new photos, you did an exceptionally nice job running and detailing the wiring to the lights and siren
Jason: Glad to have you back on board! That Tamiya Kubelwagen is a nice little build as one would expect, looking forward to seeing your work here

I have been playing with mixing colors for the Italian armor shades for my M13 40 and came up with these. I am using Tamiya acryilcs.
XF-60 DARK YELLOW.
XF-64 RED BROWN.
XF-65 FIELD GREY.
XF-66 LIGHT GREY.
Notice there are (3) different shades of the grey/green and (1) of the sand brown. So ok you experts which grey/green looks more like what I am looking for to mottle over the sand brown mix on my M13/40 I had been looking up FS color chips but the grey/green is up in the air.

The green that G used on his Panzer looked very gray in photos, so I would use that as a baseline.

I did a little more mixing and came up with the following. I did not want to pull out the a/b so I used a stiff brush to some what accomplish the mottle over the base colors.
So this is what I am going with, once I spray the sand on then the mottle of grey/green to resemble the M13/40's of an Aussie squadron of captuered vehicles that they used.

Bob: Just for clarification, are you building yours as a version being actively used by the Australians? Noel intended for the builds in this campaign to represent vehicles actively serving under Rommel's command. Let me know what your plans are.

Jeremy,
You were correct I reread the rules and I need to change my scheme to that of an Italian unit.

Ola Guys
Reporting back to this thread.
Have not posted much but have been following it in the background all the time... I want to say to everybody that you guys are doing terrific work. I love all the vehicles built so far. The Panzer III's The Panzer IV's, The 8 Rad, and the 1:72 SdKfz 222,, The several halftracks... All brilliant stuff. I hope to continue on my Dingo soon. Bought a second hand Etch Mate which I really need for the ET models PE set.
Now I have to find me some time between the Dingo and my Ice effects article. But I will go on working. Got some evenings and a whole weekend ahead of me in which I can do unlimited modelling. And that is pretty much what I'm planning to do.

Jason: Those Tamiya Kubelwagens go together really quick, you'll be done before you know it
Bob: I'm glad I caught that before you started painting. I do my best to look out for everyone in my campaigns
Robert: Bending PE without one is a real pain in the you know what. I was using Xacto blades with my fingers to fold mine until I could get my hands on one Looking forward to both the Dingo and the Ice Effects article

Jeremy, there aren't many parts in the box, but I do build very slowly, I think that's why I never get anything finished.......by the time I'm halfway through I tend to get bored with the project put it back on the half finished shelf and move on to the next. I hope to make a start today, and do as much as possible.
