My latest edit of the ribbon. I wanted to make the "N" stand out more.

Now i have a question, when the group build starts, do we post our updates on this thread, or are you going to have an "official thread"?
Posted: Tuesday, December 28, 2010 - 10:11 AM UTC
Due to the limited number of people taking part you can post your updates here, and you could also start a blog if you wish. If you decide to run a blog make sure the title of the thread contains Next Gen campaign in the title, this will make it easy for members following the campaign watch your build take shape. Lastly remember if you need help with an aspect of the campaign or your build this will be the main thread I will be watching.

Please can I ask that the members taking part and the younger members using a guardians account to make a post in this thread listing age and model being built. I need to know this in order to sort out some prizes that are suitable.

Hi Darren. Josh has decided that he wants to go with the Revell 1/72 Privateer, he is 8 years old now, but will turn 9 during the Campaign. No doubt I will get requests to build on his stash for his birthday.

Adam is 12. He will be building the AFV Club Stryker command vehicle.
Andrew is 10. He will be building either the Tamiya F4U1-D or figures from the old Tamiya German infantry set.

Josh doesn't have a particular interest in any area, he just browses until he sees a kit that catches his eye. He has mainly WW2 aircraft, a couple of tanks, a Hokum helo, and a Lamborghini for good measure.

Damian thank you it sure leaves the field open.
Stan you need to edit and upload a picture that you want to use and then install it via the settings page of your account.

Adam likes anything interesting, mainly AFV subjects, with no particular time period. He likes how they look, and would like to find ways to motorize everything he builds. I bought the same kit for me so we can do them side by side, which by the way could be a future campaign idea, sort of a spin on the generations topic.
Andrew is most interested in ease of build. Low parts counts and simple instructions are why he chose his kits. He built the Tamiya StuG III with me a while back (Tamiya seems to work well for him) and lifted my jeep from the stash as well. He is also not time period specific.

Hi again
At first, I'd like to apologise, because I thought that the SUPERDETAILED defiant will be too much for a campaign, so, I decided to build something else

I have two boys, currently ages 8 and 9. I´ve been thinking, that they might be potential enlisters for this because older one has built two models and younger one before this but I´ve been helping them with the smallest parts and painting. They could try their skills with HobbyBoss 1/72 easy assembly aeroplane kits, because younger boy has showed some interest for this hobby.
Problem is, that because english is not their native language and they can´t write or read it, I would have to do all work with their accounts, photo uploading and updates beside all my own campaigns etc... I´m not so fancy for all that extra work..

Kimmo I have found out through this campaign that you have to be 13 to have an account on the KitMaker Network,k and so if they are interested it is fine for you to do the needed forum work.

I was just hoping, it would have been possible to show their progress under my own account but guess I´ll have to create their own for both boys.

Kimmo it is fine for you to use your account as they are not old to have their own.
