Hi all, I very sorry I haven't been able to post for some time, as I managed to get hurt at work ! enough to say a heavy engine cover and my left arm and right hand ! = Ooooch (and a lot of swearing), getting better now but no model building as yet.
I will endeavor to catch up PDQ with this campaign.
Regards Duncan.

Hi all,
I will try to complete Trumpeter's Hotchkiss 39(H) buy the end of the month. Looks like a straight forward build.
Erhan - That is a sweet looking little Hetzer, one of my favorite tanks.
Duncan - What tough break. Hope you are recovering quickly.
Nate

Sal - I am working on the bogies right now. Pin marks everywhere, but strategically placed so no need to break out the putty yet. Looks like a relatively painless build for a very cool subject. Terry Ashley's review on PMS: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/trumpeter/tr00352.htm is excellent, his observations are spot on. I suspect the Bronco versions have better detail, but this is a good kit for a noob such as myself.

Hello everybody!
Sad news, unfortunately, my PzKpfw IV F2 aka 'Joan Rivers' is highly unlikely to be done by the end of the month. Although I've made some progress - the longer this build continues, the more short-comings come to light and I intend to do a 'proper job' on this, irrespective of how long it takes. I'll probably post a couple of pictures towards the end of the month to give you an opportunity to wave good-bye.
Cheers,
Dierk

Hey fellas,
I decided to put a Tamiya Quad Gun Tractor hauling a Italeri Water Trailer together for a Afrika Korps special. I'll try to get pictures up of the trailer (it's finished) tonight.
Thanks,
Charlie

here's my C7P fully built and ready for painting:
got a bit sidetracked by another mini project, i built a paintbrush box for my every growing collection of stick-whiskers. had some left over zebrawood from a project which i thought might make for a nice addition to the hobby bench:
hoping to get some paint down this long weekend and have my model finished by the deadline. campaigns sure do make me continue along where i might just let things sit.
hope everyone's projects are coming together. cheers, bd

Here is the H39 with a first coat of 'Dunkelgelb'.
Subsequently, I tried my first camo job which ended in disaster , a victim of thick paint, I believe. I will start over tomorrow.
Bruce - That C7P is a nifty looking machine, can't wait to see her in paint. Nice work on the paintbrush box too.

thanks Nate, the H39 is a cool piece of hardware, sorry to hear the camo's first attempt didn't go as planned. hey, that's why pencils come with erasers.
i too was not too pleased with my first go at painting the C7P with that colour modulation technique so i gave it a second go and it was worth the extra time.
any hints at a few days extension? the deadline is right before a weekend which i personally would find helpful in getting my entree finished. this is a ribbon i would like to have but if it's not in the cards i understand.
cheers, bd.

I can extend it. How about 6/4? Anyone need any longer?
Looks like the campaign leader has not been on since May 7.

thanks Gary, you're a champion. the 6th of June would be a real help.
i noticed the leader's last online visit and that's is why i thought i might have to enlist your help. hope all is well for him during his absence.
i had designed the campaign ribbon and thought it would be a fun one to have. cheers and here's to still plugging away at my entry.

Gary, I second Bruce's request for an extension. 6/4 sounds good to me. It would give me a little more time for weathering.

Sorry for a very long absence I must admit to getting a bit depressed and annoyed with my Panther as my injury has'nt helped me finish it to the standard I would have liked, just started removing the zimmerit!
But that doesn't really excuses me from hiding from my responsibility as I did start this campaign and I am suppressed to be the leader? an extension is a great idea, thanks again to Garry for stepping into the breach so to speak.
Erhan ...I really like your Hetzer.
Nathan...How have you found this kit? I saw one a while ago and I was tempted but was unsure of what I would find inside
Bruce....That C7P is a strange looking little thing, reminds me of a small steam Traction engine.
I am away till Friday but I will check in again to prove my existence and be in control, I'll try again on the Panther and see how I go.
All the best
Regards Duncan.

Here is a shot of the H39 with coat of future on Sunday.
Hmm... someone forgot to paint the inside of the drive sprocket
I'm still working on the airbrush technique, I had some serious overspray, especially with the green (Tamiya Olive Green). I bought some sheets of styrene for practice before I try painting camo on another model.
Since then I have added a wash, put on a flat coat and did some pin washes and detail painting today.
Klinker Hope you are on the mend. That accident sounded nasty. The H39 is a pretty good kit, although I've heard the Bronco version is more refined. Lots of pin marks, but they are mostly hidden. I had some trouble fitting the fenders and glacis plate. The rocket assembly definitely complicates the weathering process, I wish I had held off gluing it on until most of the weathering was complete. I definitely won't be dropping into another campaign with 4 weeks to go, another rookie mistake.
Good luck on that Panther!

Burak - Nice looking paint job! With your Matilda and now the panther, you are really on a roll. I assume you brush painted the panther?
Bruce - Again great job on the C7P. Too bad it was such a pain to put together.
Steph - Thanks. I liked your T-60, the white wash looks good. I have a T-70 in my stash and a half completed BT-7 (A great kit by the way).
Duncan - Thanks again for hosting the campaign.

Bruce ... Your C7P has turned out great I'll be honest and say that I wasn't even aware of this vehicle in real life or kit form so thanks for that too.
Burak Cinar ... Nice Polish Panther, a well done model in 1/72 scale, decals can be real devils at times. I normally find the second one in pair playing me up.
