I'm definitely in, I'm sourcing one of those Stuarts as we speak.

I wouldn't start any sooner than August, and that still may be pushing it with all of the campaigns going, but I think most of us can make that.

Are you going to go with the 1/35 Tamiya ISU-152? That's a sweet kit if you are

Awesome choice then if you're going for a T-34. What are you going to do with the bedspring armour?

Whenever is fine with me! But I still have to buy the sets.
I might build a captured sdkfz 233 or a captured panzer II, if I have time I will be building a captured allied vehicle.

The captured sdkfz 233 or Panzer II sound good, but what allied vehicle would you build if you have time (to get hold of the kit I guess) ?

Hi Ducan,

I am not exactly sure but I might build a captured French tank (one of the many), or perhaps (and what I prefer) a converted Bren carrier the one with panzerfausts and bazookas. But for the latter I need to find some pictures. I might even want to build a captured M-10, heard some were captured and used in the Ardennes side by side with the disguised panthers. (So much to choose from …..)

Will your T-34 be modified? Like the one with the turret removed and a flack gun installed in its place, or as though it has just been captured?

These might help you, pictures of captured Russian tanks (you probably have these pic’s already but..):

http://img528.imageshack.us/i/aa040.jpg/
http://img240.imageshack.us/i/aa045.jpg/

I am looking forward to this campaign! Thanks for coming up with it!

I nearly went for an M10! one of my favorite tanks too.. here a image (top one) of the 2x M10's
http://www.afv-news.com/afvforum/allied-archives/M10test/page-4/ ... that's a real good point /idea there Vladimir a just captured AFV such as these M10 are still in US Army OD but crewed by Germans would make a great diorama....

but the camo scheme on the T-34/85 I want to do sold it for me, it will just be a standard T34 recently captured!

I'm looking forward to it too mate!

i have an idea for a project that would fit right in with this campaign suggestion so you can count me in if it is not too soon in the running as there are quite a few campaigns ongoing. cheers, bd.

please count me in Duncan, i have a kit i'd like to use for this campaign. it's Mirage's Polish C7P Tractor depicted as captured by German command. i've never done a super muddy diorama and i envision this machine pulling a sd.kfz 221 out of a bog in an early war scenario.

this is a very original suggestion for a campaign and i hope that it receives lots of enlistees. cheers, bd.

This campaign only needs two more interested before it can kick off fellas! Lot's of great ideas out there, and many kits come with decals for captured units for those who don't wish to get too involved

Aww what the hell...if I don't finish, at least it will be another nice experience. Put me down for it. Don't know exactly with what but I have an inkling for this German Mathilda conversion . The place (Terneuzen) is not too far from where I live. Getting hold of a 5cm Kwk L/42 and info about the mounting will be difficult.

Maybe something else... Not sure yet

That's a good point about kits with with decals for captured units here's a few I know of and maybe others could chime in with some more!

CyberHobby 6529 M4A2 Sherman 'BeutePanzer' ... German markings
Tamiya T34/76 35149........................................... German "
DML Marder III M kit # 6464 ..................................British markings
DML 6185 T34/76 with Pz. III cupola......................German "
Trumpeter PZ KV I 756R Tank ..............................German "
Tamiya Char B......................................................German "
Tamiya Citroen Traction 11CV................................German "

Trumpeter do a lot of captured Russian Kit used by the Germans try a search and loads come up. I just checked 'ebay' ..... pump in "Trumpeter German 1/35 " ........I got the KV1's, Hotchkiss, Panzerager Marder on the first page!

Mirage are the same although their kits are supposed to be a bit hard going in the finish and instruction department!! but don't let that worry you to much we can all help you out!

I know there's a lot of German stuff listed but that's what seems to drive the market! but the Marder 111 is interesting and you could buy a kit of your choice and use:-

MIG Productions * Captured Tank Markings # 3233 *
plus Archer do some to I believe!

Post War Captured equipment is trickier but easy but you have to think around conflicts...
IDF captured Russian Tanks etc... you can get Legend conversions for T-55... (Tiran, Achzarit etc... )
but how about a Centurion captured from the Jordanian with crude Star of David painted on it? anybody interested check-out 'Centurions in Action'

Yugoslavian Civil War lots to go on here with Russian kit (plus some WW2 stuff e.g T-34/85 and M10's with convey belt armour) being captured and re- captured, you'd just have to be clever to show how its been re-used markings sprayed over (but slightly visible)

Falklands War... LandRovers, Amtracks, tractors!

Thanks for jumping in Benjamin.

That Matilda is great and certainly different looking from what we are all used to, I like the picture at the bottom of your link with it in the barge/landing craft with a LWS I.
Try a post on the Axis Armour Forum maybe somebody might have some info on that mount!

'Maybe something else' ??? still thinking about the Italian Armour? some interesting stuff there too.

Let's not forget german trucks and SPW painted green and pushed into service on the western front. There's also images of a catured Pz.Kpfw.II in north africa, "Cuckoo", some other german vehicles in service with the Red Army, etc...

Best of all would be a Citroën T23 (is there a kit somewhere of this baby?) built under german occupation that had been captured by the americans...how many flags do you want
