Those are both really sweet kits, but be warned that the Su76 has some very fiddly little bits in it. I'm saving mine for a later time less I destroy the darn thing

Yep!.. Sean & Benjamin I still can't do your links
Here's what you do: In the reply screen you select the second option button. It's the one that says . That will land you the following construction:
(bracket) url=http://www.putlinkname.here (bracket) linkname (bracket)/url (bracket)
you then enter the link between the = and ].Then all you gotta do is fill in the text you want in place of the word "linkname"
End result in you post:Armorama forums
Sorry for drifting off topic a little folks. Looks like were in for some intersting combinations of countries and vehicles.

I got both Duncan !
But since I'm building KV -1 for the Killer KV Campaign I'll do the KV-2 for this one.
Initially I got the 2 KV-1 for a Dio I was planning, a clash of KV1's on a street corner, a german version vs the russian one...
But the Campaign bug got my again... and with the campaign schedules I usually tend to finish some kits every now and then...
Thanks for the links too Duncan !!

John... welcome to the campaign, a KV will make a great 'BeutePanzer' which one have you got KV-1 or a KV-2?
KV-2
Duncan,
Thanks for the links, I'll have to rummage through my parts box to see if I have a PzKpfw III commander's cupola, to put onto the top of my KV-2 turret

Thanks Garry those booklets look great!
Sal... Hope you find your PzIII cupola I read on that link I posted those modified KV-2 were intended for the invasion of Malta! = never knew about that
No-one has mentioned any early captured Tanks etc...[urlhttp://www.wio.ru/tank/ww1tank.htm]this site has German MK1 tanks as well as captured British Armour in Red Army service 1919!
Here is another German Half-track in British use complete with .5 Browning.

I think that part of the reason we haven't seen anyone pursuing earlier vehicles has to do with the lack of good and affordable kits out there. I would love to tank on a WWI tank, but they require a lot of work

Ok just rummaged through the spare parts box and some new kits in the stash and I don't have an extra PzKpfw III Commander's Cupola
Does anybody have a spare that they are willing to part with in 1/35 scale

Hey Sal I saw a picture of a model of a Captured KV-2 with Zimmerit on it???? don't know if this is a 'what if' but if not, might be worth looking into? = it looked really good.
Just for the heck of it I Google'd ...... "captured tanks" and I got all these images check-out the Stug111/Marder111 and 2 Semovente. in British Army hands.
But plenty of others to.

just to help out here is a ribbon design for the campaign:
it's an rgb jpeg so if you would like to use it just grab it from here. no hurt feelings if it's not used, just trying to lend a hand.
cheers, bd.

Bruce, that's a great looking ribbon as always. Have you played with the colors to see if OD and Dunkelgelb would work better? You may have and they could have been too muted against the white.

Jeremy, you're right as always buddy. doing the OD green and Dunkelgelb tan as they really are made a dull looking ribbon so i pumped up the colours to make them a bit more vibrant.
glad you guys like the ribbon, having one for enlistees that they will enjoy in their collection is great stuff. didn't have much time and i did some for a few campaigns the same day but they are a fun little design exercise for me.
cheers, bd.

Is it okay to take part in campaign with two unfinished kits, which both are Beutepanzers? This could be a chance to get them finally finished...

Kimmo ....... Sorry to disappoint but no unfinished/half builds......... Unless... see rule 9 ... but there's nothing to stop you building a new 'BeutePanzer' and incorporating your other unfinished kits, if you wish.
I do hope you decide to join us anyway Kimmo! I've looked at your Gallery and there's some good working going on.

I received a PM from a modeler (won't mention their name) asking what would be a easy captured tank to model, i thought I'd show you what I replied to him, as it may help others
I suggested a T34/76 as there are soooooo many variants and colour schemes (a lot of reference) possible and with many companies making T34's there's a good choice,I suggested even taking the turret of a T34/76 to a 'Bergepanzer'
Here's a link of some great T34's ... even a German T34 on a Scammel tank transporter!
Captured T34's
I hope this helps somebody out.

There certainly is no shortage of captured Allied tanks in German service, especially from Dragon
