I have to admit taking pictures of each step starts out as a pain, but it has one very big advantage in that it shows up any areas that need touching up or straightening and missed areas that need cleaning. Result is a better model and hopefully more people gaining from it and offering advice.

Hi Folks,

I have just enlisted for this campaign, it should be very interesting. Unfortunately my Son got me the Dragon Panther A for my birthday and some Friulmodel metal tracks for Father's Day (lucky me), which I have already started, so that is out of the question, however I doubt if I could have waited until next year to begin it. I do have a Dragon 1/72 G and a Revell 1/72 A which I can do for this campaign, better start collecting the after-market stuff now.

All the best,

Paul

Paul as you have started the mentioned kit why not keep people updated using this thread, it may be of help to others considering building the kit you have for the campaign.

Hi Darren,

If people are interested, I can post the progress as I build the beast. I have finished assembling the road wheels and lower hull, which has been painted ready for detailing. I have built one run of the Friulmodel tracks and can show the building of the other run, they are superb items and well worth investing in. Perhaps those1/35 Panther experts out there can keep me on the straight and narrow as I am a Braille scale modeller normally.

All the best,

Paul

As there were some comments about how far away the campaign was it is now running from 1st November 2011 till 31st December 2012, this will give you even more time to do what needs doing and even Jeremy and Gary should be able to complete this campaign.

Yeah, I think I need to dump most of the campaigns that I'm enrolled in that are ending in the next few months so that I can focus on things I'll actually be able to finish

I just bought two different Tamiya Panther G's in a garage sale, 19$ a piece so not to bad
I'm building one of them now for some practice and then probably the second one for this campaign (if I don't decide to get a newer Dragon kit )

Jeff (if I remember your name correctly) I believe it has now been written into the general rules for campaigns that one model one campaign, the exception to the rule is if it is a part of a diorama.

There is another exception to this rule which are campaigns that are to get members to complete stalled builds or modification of finished models.
