I getting some serious Stuart envy, wish I had time for a second build!

Joel - Really nice work on the M5A1!

Jeremiah - Very cool paint job and decals!

Jesper - Love the before and after photo on your Pz II, the 20 minute makeover, great work!

Bob - Your little Pz I is really coming along.

I am almost finished with my Pz 35(t), just some touching up and some pigments.

David - Thanks Sir, you yourself made a very beautiful m3 also. I specially like the antennas. And how do you go by painting the headlights

Joel - Thank you sir, I love the weathering on your stuart.

Greg - thanks Sir, Another one of those beautiful stuarts you have. And also i might need your help painting and weatering the t-34. i have a dragon t-34/76 mod 1941 cast turret lined up next.

Nate - Thanks sir. Good job on your Pz 35(t). I liked how you paint the tracks and would like to ask how do you rust and weather the mufflers. With like 2 months to go. I say Go for it we would like to see you work on a stuart.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm still new in this hobby. This one to be my 5th build and i am happy with the outcome so far. I would like to ask on how to paint headlights? And also i had some trouble placing the decals over rivets. the decal got torned and i have to patch it with paint. I used tamiya mark fit. Next time i will try to use micro set and micro sol

Nice progress on the Pz. 35(t), Nathan. Looking forward to to see it finished.

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys. I am also quite satisfied with the end result.

Greg, the last weathering steps were some light chipping - as the picture I based my build of did not show a lot of wear.
Some MIG dark washes were allowed to run along the recessed areas and then wiped of allowing some paint to remain. At the same time some oil stains were added.
This was followed be streaking with AK Interactive products. Then finally some coats of MIG oil paints mixed with pastels.
After everything had dried throughoutly I added a flat coat to tie everything together.

Thanks for all the comments

Hi Jeremiah,

The headlights were first painted the lens white (Vallejo 951), then with a thin coat of silver (Vallejo 997) and when the silver is good and dry (about 24 hours) apply 2 or 3 coats of Tamiya X19 Smoke. As for the antenna just simple old stretched sprue.

cheers

Jeremiah,

I'm already over committed on campaigns so no time for a second build The tracks are Fruils, I weathered them by soaking them in Blacken-it then sprayed a light coat of Tamiya hull red. I still plan on dry brushing some exposed steel. I painted the muffler with Vallejo Matt Medium and then quickly stippled on AK Interactive Track Rust pigment.

Here's an update on my TKW II. It's fiddly and it will be a while before I try another RPM

I've decided to finish it as if it were still at the factory.

I have just one light tank in my stock, a 72-scale Italeri Panzer I. I began it today and it will be under Spanish Civil War markings.

Hi everyone. Lot of building going on here.

I have not done much on my Panzer IB for a while, I had some other projects to finish. Now I'm down to this one as the last project of 2012.

When I put it to the back burner, I didn't want to look at another track link. Now after a couple of days I finished up the one side and have the other side cleaned up and ready for assembly. If all goes well I should finish this one in time.

later everyone. I got some catching up to do.

Hello, me again.

Got a lot done today, except for assembling the tracks I have the basic assembly at about 99% done. I'll tell you these Dragon kits have a lot of fiddly bits.. just look at the photo I took for size reference..

puts those track links into perspective.

and todays progress.

I'll keep plugging away at it.

later

Lookin great guys. Those tracks are pretty cool Evren. So they are flexable/moldable and stay together before you glue them? All the small kit tracks frustrate me to no end but if I could mold the tracks before I glue them it would fix a lot of my hassles

Delbert, your Panzer 1B is looking good. I'm really in envy of you that you can even see those small links, yet work with them. looking forward to seeing the 1B completed.
