Thanks Jesper. I do like that pattern. It's good to know that it would be acceptable.

How do I get the "Light Tanks Campaign" banner to show up in my signature area?

This thread (somewhere in the middle) shows how to add a banner to your signature.

Gary, thanks for the link to that thread. I've been thinking about how to add my ribbons to my signature, but just couldn't figure it out.

TKW II build update:

My hole filling method: Put small amount of super glue in hole. Jam tapered portion of stretched sprue into hole. When dry, snip off and sand flush.

RPM supplies a few indiviual tracks to fit around the sprocket and idler. I kinda wish they had just supplied a vinyl set.

That's all for now.

@ David Waters, Awesome job on the Honey mate. Fantastic paint job + weathering.

I have only attempted the desert cammo like that and it looked terrible! I could never get the seems between colors to look realistic. Always looked like my 4yr son had gotten lose with the paint brush

DazzaD, many thanks for the comments. The bulk of the painting was done with Tamiya colours, using an airbrush. The camouflage colour was done freehand with a brush and it looked like my 4 year old grandson had been into poppa's paints I was not happy with all the brush marks, so I fired up the old airbrush and very carefully filled in the area covering the brush marks As for the weathering just many coats of very thin pigment washes sprayed on along with the ubiquitous Tamiya Deck Tan again very thin to finish it off.

cheers

Well, it's been a great campaign, with one great build after another. I've continued to learn from all of you, and for that a sincere thanks to all.

I've finally finished my AFV Club M5A1 Stuart Late ver. This was my 1st AFV Club kit, but it won't be my last. For such a small company, they sure produced a great kit.

Here's a few pictures of my M5A1 Stuart

@ BryanJ: nice clean build going on there, even the nut.

@ Joel: I like it, one of my favorites.

I applied the decals and some Pledge, now to fine detail or painting.

stephen, looks like you're making solid progress. I built the Academy M3 Honey a while ago, and corrected all the issues with the bogies, and added more detailing to the interior. It builds up to a really nice replica. Looking forward to your progress.

Hi Joel

Thanks. I am a ways off being confident enough to start correcting errors on models! But look foward to learning more.

Stephen, I'm no pro at it either. I just take it one step at a time.

@ jeremiah: I like the paint job and your interior, keep up the good work.

@ Stephen: I have never seen the turret basket for the M3 Stuart Honey, I will watch to see your progress.

Well I finally got off my big fat rear and did some detail painting, this will take me some time and I thought this would be an easy build .

Nice progress, Bob. The camouflage and markings create a nice contrast. Looking forward to see more.

I have made a little more progress on my Wiking SS division Pz.II. The main details are on. Next is the weathering. The Wiking Pz. IIs seemed very pristine in the pictures I have seen, so I will not using chipping, but some dirt and dust weathering.

More to follow soon.

I have now finished the Tamiya 1/35 Panzer II for this campaign. A cool little kit, but it needs an upgrade of especially tools and weapons.

Comments welcome

Joel - love the stuart. congrats on another good looking model

Jesper - The panzer II went through some kind of dramatic change at the end there. What was your last steps? It came out great!

Jeremiah - that is a sweet paintjob!
