Hi all. This is my kit, the Gunze Sangyo Stug 40 Ausf G. Everything will be OOB except for the barrel. I will use the metal one provided by Italeri for the Jgdpanzer IV/L48. Enjoy your builds everyone.

I should get a metal barrel for mine. I hate 2 piece barrels.

Hi guys !
John that's an old Ausf.G, are the tracks any good ?
Congrats on Karagounis goal, it was a great match !
@Marc
Me too, I think metal gun barrels should be a standard for every companies..
Almost forgot, here's my Stug IV.
Started yesterday afternoon.
But took the pics a few minutes ago
Pretty old and crude, comparing to Dragon or Trumpeter's actual kits, but I hope it will turn into a nice kit !

It's from Italeri. Kit nr. 6223
I think it's a repackaged, since it's from 2003, but decals & parts look very 90ish

John the kit is an old Dragon kit reboxed. The tracks are on sprues but (fortunately?) only two places attached on the sprue for every link. They also have a lot of sink marks. They will take some extra work, but they are well detailed i think and can look good.
Thanks on the football game remark! It was a very welcomed result! The only good thing that happened in a long time......
I saw you started building your kit. I hope you have a most enjoyable build. Italeri kits are old but can give very nice results.
Marc i agree with you, they should all give metal barrels in their kits, or at least one piece plastic items attached on sprues from front and back end. That can spare us from too much trouble..... On the other hand what would the aftermarket boys do then?

Production has started.
I gave all the parts a bath and started assembling the lower hull. Nothing picture worthy.

Thanks Mike and hope yu get to that scratch soon
Here's one side of the winteketten done - took the whole time watching The Bridge at Remagen. I love the Tamiya tracks, but this aftermarket variety from WWII productions is nice. Every 5th link has the ice cleats if you bring out the microscope lol

I like those tracks! You say they are Tamiya brand, so they came in the kit?
I need to check out a 1/48th kit JUST for the tracks. Very nice and a nice start too.

Greg,,, Mate that little beauty is looking pretty cool ,,still knocks me back at how detailed these 48th scale model are ,,those tracks alone look brilliant
Here's some more pics of where mine is at right now ,added some PE and there's still a heap of that to go yet ,,
Tracks are one ..magic tracks .not a problem
One of the hatch covers was missing from the kit so i made a couple of new ones our of copper plate and brass nuts .
More to follow soon

Thanks guys. As soon as I get a few moments to sit down, I'd like to enjoy this great Campaign idea too! It all started Friday and now I'm on the road everyday. I did have time to put together a little PE ... but for another Campaign and not this one!
And play around with some Government work too.

I am really getting into Stugs again thanks to this campaign!
John - will be a slightly worn whitewash with some mud I reckon. I like to do a small base and a figure
Jeff - the tracks are WWII Productions. The Tamiya kit tracks will go to replace the vinyl Bandai ones for that kit. I was trying to say the Tamiya link and length tracks are so much easier to assemble then these single link aftermarket resin ones by WWII Productions.
Phill - can't wait to see what you do with your stug. You're blowing my mind with the early hull and late pig mantlet

Thanks Greg! I will keep them in mind as I need a 1/48 tank to sit next to all my planned 1/48 aircraft. That all started with the AURORA Heli and those tracks won't fit on any of the armor I have in the same scale.
Also, you guys don't have to take a picture of that days newspaper with your unbuilt kit. I know we do want an unstarted kit here but I trust you guys, so relax and just start building!
I think the dust should be settled by tomorrow so I can have at it with my kit and the planned changes.
~ Jeff
