Well, my kit did make it to the build area last night, but what a day! Nothing started I needed for me to get done.
But ... I do have the rest of the weekend off, cell phone turned off, that is after this one last little job today and it's model euphoria!
I did cut those late return wheels
off the pour blocks last night, here sitting on the instructions.
Cleaned them up and ready to be CA'd to the lower hull.
My attempt at a mid to late G with the Saukopf mantlet and have a few metal muzzle brakes to choose from as well as an aluminum barrel too!
This is where I left it last night and awaits me today when I return.
My own Campaign and what a dismal start, aye?

Mike, I am doing the early E. I am new to modelling so just trying to glue the right bits to hopefully the right place's at the moment LOL.Going to try a pin wash and a filter and maybe a bit of mud for weathering if that doesnt work out i will just give it to the dogs for a few minute's to rough it up a bit.

Looks like the gate opened and I was still yawning and stretching back in the paddock! Some folks have made real progress! Congrats to all you over-achievers! I envy!
Not, anyone should understand, that there's any sort of race going on here! ... No way. I'll gladly step aside for that cold 3-legged tortoise coming up behind me!
The planned-on CH StuG III G w/ flussiggas antrieb has re-surfaced for the party!
I'll be pretty much OOTB - I want to capture this very singular beast just the way it comes! The kit is replete, and I like MT, But who can resist a little conduiting, wheel-wear, kit, etc.? We'll see... The box paint-scheme of straight dunkelgelb is the only real option, here - it'll be the first time I've ever done such a thing!
Running-gear this weekend... Progress pics will eventually appear!

Hi guys,I have returned from my 5 day road trip and took some photos off what I got accomplished on my OOB build
1 nights work road wheels dry fit
and 1 whole spruce of tracks cleaned
then last night i was able to get some work done on the upper hull, left fender has all parts added
and some work on the right 1 as well
this kit is really showing its age the plastic is soft and the detail is not as crisp as new Dragon kits This kit looks like a toy Does anyone know if this is someone elses kit that Dragon re-boxed

Hi Sal,
Looking really good, how did you find those ugly old tracks? I personially don't know if that C/D/E your making is a rebox, but I think some of dragons early stug kits were plastic rebox's of old Gunsye kits.
Cheers Mike

So far, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE is working out, thanks to Gary's (BBD468) tip on the Thin Cement by Tamiya. MT assembly worries may be a thing of the past!
One thing though, what is the need for the PE on the idler wheels? I always thought PE was for better detailing but this seems like a waste of time cutting it free from the fret and then it gets covered with paint and weathering?
Anyway, having some fun now! Cell is turned off, no honey-do things to do and my door is shut tight! I may never see the light of day the whole weekend!

Thanks Mike, I found that if i get my spruce cutters in at the right angel that there was less clean up to do The links are only attached at 2 points and I didnt brake any like the PzI links i did a few months ago where 1 out of every 3 broke The 1 spruce took about 45 minuets now I will have to see how they glue together but Dragon forgot to tell use in the instructions how many links to use per side

Paul, first check you settings on your camera. The higher the resolution, the bigger it will be. Then you can resize from there to an optimal size.
Then check to see what the limitations are at your hosting site.
Right now, your pics 330 wide b 225 high.
I typically use 800wx 600h.
