So I would've had kit photos tonight, but I got the wrong kit for my birthday. Time to do some selling or trading at the hobby shop...

Loking good Greg. Is that the orange box StuGIIIF8? I almost purchased that one myself for this campaign, but still need to work on my techniques before i commit to a winter type setting.

My only suggestion Greg without going with a PE Set would be to use some brass or aluminum to replace them. They are so small so it could be easily done and then just look for some pics showing them how they would appear bent up.

It was supposed to be Dragon's Stug IV early production (6576) http://www.dragon-models.com/html/6576poster.htm
I ended up with the Panzer ausf J Last Production (6575)
I'm not usually picky about birthday gifts at all, but in this case I needed that kit hahaha. I gotta either sell it or trade it now

Well, if you're not successful at either selling it or trading it, I do have a Dragon StuG III Ausf. C, 7.5cm StuK L/48 (9035) or the DML StuG III Ausf. F (6033) I could help you out? Both are opened but still in the appropriate bags and unstarted and have no immediate plans for them.
I'm pretty sure you don't want an old Tamiya StuG III.
I'm not a big PIV fan but I would do that for a fellow Campaigner. I know official trade offers should be conducted elsewhere but this is the only exception as I have offered to help out like this in the past.
Just thought I'd offer!

Thanks Jeff if nothing comes from the endeavors at the hobby shop I'll have to take you up on that! The one near me actually has the Stug IV I'm looking for, so hopefully I can make a trade

Marc - Hi this is an early Stug F vs F/8 I'm going for using a 1/48 Tamiya StugB and old Bandai resin aftermarket superstructure (I'm a glutton for punishment). As for winter schemes, what better way to practice your techniques then building more models
Jeff S. - Yes you're right so I just ended up cutting and sanding thin.
Hopefully not boring you guys to much on this. The roof hatches were too small to fit the resin so I modelled them open. This meant I needed figures, which also meant I needed to drill the resin. So in short, I disassembled the whole thing and restarted. A number of pieces were almost lost during all of this, including having to battle a big black widow for one piece.
This crazy build is addictive.
p.s. Phil - I spotted a pic of an early c chassis with the late pig mantle so I see where you're going with it now

Looking great so far!
Those tracks make the difference too!
I have an F in 1/16th that is slated to have those on. And if there is time, on this Campaign an E with the same tracks from a Dragon kit.
Can't wait to see your fenders!

Goodmorning guys. Greg you have an interesting build going on there.
Managed to do some work. Few pieces left to be attached to the Stug and then the tracks.

Been a little hard to get on the site lately.
Sal - 4 women. Run far, run far far away as Marc said. I don't know how you finished any model, kudos to you!
Conor - the winterketten tracks are like giving it a boob job, bigger is better
Mike - glad you like it
John - clean build, looks almost ready to paint
I'm working out a rack and stowage on the back, but probably won't have much time to do anything the next week or two. Keep up the nice work everyone

I am inquiring what colour I should paint the canvas cover for the gun mantle. The same as the tank it's self, field green or some other colour. The tank main colour is Dunkel gleb. Any info would be helpful.

I've seen green and gray, just make sure it's faded and not the Khaki Green or Olive Drab like the Allied side would use.
