Wow.......great beautiful projects going on in this thread. I have been kinda negligent in posting since my original in-box shot of my Hobbyboss FM-2 Wildcat. Anyway, I began work on the engine compartment and the cockpit. Also will be using a Quickboost resin engine cowling to replace the kit piece which is slightly outta whack, to say the least.
Best wishes,
Ian

Got the FM-2 together. Fuselage fit was not the greatest but nonetheless it is together and sanded. She's also rockin' her Quickboost resin cowling which was really nicely molded. Didn't realize how off the kit piece was until I compared it to the Quickboost offering. Anyway, Sea Blue paint to follow.

Thanks John. I also had the wrong info in my own post The resin cowling is from Vector, not Quickboost.

Rodolfo,
great job on the Tiger. I really like what you're doing with the weathering.

Rodolfo----Your weathering job is superb. I love how the Tiger looks but to be honest your work on the tracks alone is really outstanding. I think that is the look to strive for on nicely weathered treads. Nicely done.

Finally have some progress shots to post. The lower hull is pretty much done. The tracks and all the wheels and sprockets will slide off for easy painting.
The hull and fighting compartment roof are also just dry fit at this point.
Hopefully get some paint on the lower hull and tracks this week.

Some wonderful, professional models being churned out here. Well done, indeed!!
Not so much mine.
I finally got some more paint on. Couldn't figure how to get this small 1/144 Tiger masked properly for the 3-color scheme. I tried tape and I tried EasyTac, but, kept breaking things and had to re-attach.
Finally, I decided to brush her freehand.
I'm hoping the coming clearcoats will blend it in. We will see.

Have you tried a soft paint brush to give the pattern a harder edge?

No, I haven't tried that yet. Going to work at it abit more, though. Thanks for the suggestion

Trying to get this completed on time.
Finding my spray job didn't quite cut it, I went ahead and brushed lightly by hand. To me, it looks better now. Certainly, I'm no pro.
I find it to be a pleasing scheme. Now I feel fairly confident some 'Future' will help blend things together. Hopefully she'll be done by the closing date.
