These are the finished build photos for the Dragon Panther G w/steel road wheels. This is white 221 of the 24th Panzer Regiment in Eilendorf Germany autumn 1944. I found photos of this vehicle, before it was knocked out, and two afterward. Characteristic of this Regiment was the four spare tracks hung from the back of the turret. The track came with a pin on back. A hole was drilled into both sides of the back of the turret with a pin vice. I thought it to be a better option than removing the pins, better accuracy in the assembly. The photos have been loaded into the Campaign Gallery.
Regards,
FirstSergeant

got some paint on my Jagdpanther over the weekend. Now on to the detail painting and weathering.

This vehicle had a looooong barrell!

The crewman are figures I had laying around that I painted a while ago. I put them on just to keep me motivated to finish.

I was finally able to get some paint on I painted the rubber with Tamiya Rubber Black then used a quick mask to paint the Dunkelgelb, did the lower hull as well. I also painted the tracks flat black and then rust, after everything dried I assembled the lower hull. Now on to the upper hull, most of the major work is done so should not take long.

Cheers Rob.

Looking good Rob, I need to check into that quick mask. Painting roadwheels by hand is tedious!

Nice, eMan. Really like the looks of your track and road-wheels.

I'm sneaking in under the wire, to try and finish my little Tiger II by the original closing date. Decals are on.

Should be done by Sunday; I hope.

Ben, looking good. I'm not a plane expert, tanks are my thing, but is that a threee tone scheme? Looks cool, the difference in the two darker colors is really subtle.

eMan, a wonderful finish on the Luchs.

I'm finished too. Not near perfect, but, my first 1/144 finish and a definite learning curve.

When I removed the canopy masking, I was disappointed to see so much sanding a drilling dust on the inside. Oh well! I was taught a lesson. Drill all holes before mounting canopy.

Not too much more to do on this one. It needs some touch ups here and there, and then some mud. Should be done this week.

Almost there!

eMan-----That finish or your Luchs is absolutely beautiful. Nicely done.

Ben----A fine looking Aggressor! The blue-tone Aggressor schemes are some of the prettiest camos out there.

Tom----The FlakPz looks awesome. Crisp finish and great looking washes in the Panzer Yellow.

Guy---Your Jagdpanther looks outstanding. Great weathering job and the figures really look good too.

Best wishes,

Ian
