Hello Fellas,
Green is on! I started with OD slightly lightened with dark yellow but finished with lots more yellow added to the mix. The OD was just too dark especially in 1/48. But im very happy with it now. Ill start painting the wheels and tool etc. tomorrow.

Here's my entry
I'm planning on finishing it as a M7 in the 58th Armoured Field Artillery Battalion, which landed on Omaha June 6-7.
I'm thinking of taking a crack with colour modulation with this one as well. Wish me luck.
One quick question. Seeing how this group build is a little more strict about the historical aspects, is it ok to model a hypothetical vehicle of a battalion that was really there? I'm planning on adding a nickname to the side of the vehicle but I can't back that up with research.
Cheers
Jeff

Gary,
Sweet looking Dunkelgelb coat on the Sherman! Oops, I meant sweet looking OD!
That first picture looks really yellow, while the second rear shot looks more green. You could put a balkenkreuz on the front and a allied star on the back! Jerry won't know what to think! If Dave objects, just tell em' "Don't mess with Texas"
Seriously, the paint/preshade looks great, looking forward to another masterpiece.
Jeff,
Looking forward to your M7 build, she is on my wish list too.
Sal,
Very clean looking puma. I have this kit too, your build is whetting my appetite.

Hey Nathan,
Why did you have to spoil the suprise. Now ill have to cancel the order for 1/48 German decals set!
It definately looks more yellow under the intense light. I backed both lights off for these next 2 pics. I painted the tires, tools, and MG's. Next ill gloss and decal.

Great looking Sherman Gary!
Same for the Puma Sal!
Jeff, you're right, the historical factor is important in this campaign, your Priest off course qualifies, and the unit is perfect... So about the nick. Hmm, let me think here. Well of course there were a lot more priests and other afv's for that matter then that we have pictures at our disposition. So, you're what If priest, could in fact be a real priest... Can't you find a list of nicks used in the unit?
I don't really have a problem with it actually, just try to make it as accurate as possible.

Hey Gary,
Sorry that I didn't notice it earlier, but Hurricane didn't have the appliqué on the right side of the turret.
I'll leave it up to you of course if you want to alter it or not.

Great work there Gary !
I still haven't joined this one, I have to finish one or rwo builds first, then ask Jeff's permission, see with Dave if my choice fits, then ask Jeff's again -- --

Looking good Gary. My Firefly is on hold until the weekend when I can make a paint run to the hobby store.
In the meantime, I'm starting a new project...

No dio, just a tank commander and loader in the hatches. I've got dios/vingettes planned for both of my other current projects, so this one is supposed to be 'easy'.
