Making a late start I present you the latest model I have been working on, Marder II in 1/72 scale from MK72.
P.A.
I used to be a scale modeler like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee.

Beautiful Pz. IV, Tom. I like the subtle dusting.
Interesting entry, PA. I have not seen this kit before. Nice start on the suspension. Especially considering the scale.

They are made of soft plastic, easy to bend and form. They are glued with standard liquid glue making the whole process easy.
Unfortunately I followed the instructions which are wrong and glued them opposite way.

LapMan: nice work, and fast.
OK, I've got a long overdue post of some progress.
Base Painting: - had a slight mishap spilling some of the grey out of my airbrush cup onto the tank, but it fixed pretty OK.
Tracks darkened with Gun Blue. This did leave the brass pins shiny, so they've been painted grey.
Decals and Detail Painting:
Next up is another coat of future to seal in the decals and then some washes and chipping. No mud or heavy dirt this time as it is being loaded on a rail car and I figure they had time to wash it down in the marshalling yard.
Cutting this one close, but I think I'll be done by the deadline.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Aloha All: finally pau with this one for this campaign. It still must meet its final resting place and will get a little touch up based on that.
Dragon 1/35th Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf. F2(G), OOB except Friul tracks. Painted loosly as Pz.Rgt.36, 14.Pz.Div., Russia 1942, using Tamiya acrylics, Vallejo for details, oil and AK washes and Gun Blue for the Friuls.
Bruce and Jeremy: Thanks for a great campaign.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Zon: You've got to love those upgunned Panzer IVs! Congrats on finishing, looks great with the hatch open
LM: Get that paint on your Panzer III!
Randy: Great work as always! The mud looks excellent on the tracks, and your creative sources for your bases always seem to work well.

Sal and Jeremy: Thanks for the comments. Soon there will be a guy coming out of the hatch and a merger of sorts with a rail car, but alas, all that is a different effort.
If Blitz 5 is Normandy, will it be confined to the early years, or will it include post Overlord?

Bruce ran the basic layout by me, but I will let him answer the details. The coverage is pretty good though

Well since I still have a few hours before the deadline I decided to add a little more to my entry. I had this old figure I painted about 20 years ago that I decided to add to my entry to give it more life and also to show how small the French Renault UE really was.
Thanks again,
Randy

Thank you for the kind comments Zon, Sal and Jeremy. I appreciate them very much. I wanted it to look as if the UE left a roadway and entered a muddy grassy area. I built the kit straight out of the box. The tracks were pure garbage and that is where the idea to muddy them up came from. I figured mud would hide the flaws. The base is another of my jar lid bases covered with tile grout and static grass and a few extra pieces here and there. I am far from a professional but I enjoy the build. Thanks again for the campaign Jeremy and I am looking forward to Blitzkrieg V.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
