That makes things quite easy, thanks for the assistance. Just have to improve my weathering skills now.

Just worked on the cables and wheels adding some dots too.
Gave a coat of matt varnish I'm hoping to start weathering soon.
Pics soon.

Trevor I believe one of these two is your tank from memory so you can let rip with the scrim net and branches.

Darren,that's a cool pic.
Trevor,Maybe even add the figures?
Based on the outbreak of "spotted fever" in the thread I'm thinking about doing the same thing to My JagdTiger. What do you guys think?Would it have been possible? Jeff T.

Gentelmen,
Just got my Cav zimm for my Jagtiger and it is some great stuff!! Great fits. ( Thanks to CMOT for the heads up)
My question is that im using Dragons Porche production type and I am only intending to use a portion of the fenders. (i.e battle damage) so, is it nessecary to have the fenders zimmed as well? The Cav set didnt include it, but that is not a problem as I could just putty it, but I want to be accurate in knowing if they were/were not.
Thanks for your help,
Great campaign.

There's some bad lighting here, so no pics today.
Anyway I gave a Mig filter for Dark green, whilr drying I worked on the wheels and equipment too.
Tomorrow I'll give another filter coat over the DK yellow parts.
Pics tomorrow !

Chris I believe the fenders do not have zim but you will need to check images of the actual vehicle you are building. I should add that while I am a fan of the Cavalier Zimmerit the ATAK Zimmerit is also very good if a little more difficult to use at least the small square set I am using on my Panther A is.

John, Sounds like you are moving right along.Look forward to your pics.
Darren, It seems funny to me that there might be no zimm on the fenders.Did they feel that a "sticky" would have no effect on the vehicle when it exploded if it was stuck to the fenders Jeff T.

Hi everyone. I see some of you have been very busy!
John, you have done a really nice work. That camo looks great. Waiting to see it weathered.
Jeff.T, your JT looks very good. Are you going for a heavily worn vehicle or for one in a good condition?
Darren, very nice build. Waiting to see it painted.
I had very little time available last week, yet i managed to get some things done. It still needs a lot of work, weathering, mud tracks, etc... plus i have to make a new base for TC's MG because my baby daughter broke it and i have not been able to find it. Some camo nets and foliage are to be placed on the tank too.

John,Thanks, I haven't got that far yet.I'm still trying to deside wheather to put spots on it
More progress.Darren, there's your jack block, and the rear hatch cover with the sink marks filled.I also got it painted, but forgot to take a pic.
Decals applied and back to matte
I did have an issue Micro-sol softening up the Future.Cut my soak time down, and things where fine.
Got some on board tools painted
So much for that.Getting back to the paint, what do you guys think about putting spots on the old girl Jeff T.

John; I love the look of this KT great work.
Jeff I also really like the Jagdtiger which is a great looking large AFV. On the subject of zimmerit on fenders I presume it is because it would be a shaped charge which needs to be in contact with whta it is intended to destroy, the fenders just hang on the vehicle and so at worst it would blow the fender off or apart with very little if any structual damage to the vehicle itself.

Here goes:
With AK filters
After these pics I added some dirt on the lower hull before putting the wheels.
Also added a light wash and some streaks on the sides & turret.
During the weekend I painted the tracks and gave some washes today.
I noticed some strange rounded shape on the front hull, will correct it soon. I guess it was some dirt that might reacted with the varnish coats or excess paint
I also noticed that despite 2 matt varnish coats, while doing the streaks there was a strange reaction w/thinner.
::Sorry about the dark pics, I prefer to that photos w/natural lighting but in winter it gets dark pretty soon and the camera isn't that good too... better pics soon I hope

This is why I prefer to take pics with natural light...
Anyway I hope to get the tracks on and finish the wheels on the next photo shoot.. Stay tuned !
The dirt/earth mix was homemade with a earth brown, khaki paints, pigments (dry mud, dark mud) & Tamyia weathering master set Sand & lightsand.
Also added some light chipping.
Those 2 round spotts at the front were carefully sanded, then I added some wash near by and added the chipped paint.

I have to thank you guys for the support, Sal, Jeff, Gary and also Darren for managing the Campaign !
Still have to finish all the equipment & cables, might add some pigments and some metalizer on the tracks.
I didn't want to dirty too much because I really enjoyed the camo.
Today's update:
Ohh and some of my birthday self-gifted gems arrived, a month later, but I'm happy !!
Stay tuned !!!!

John, it certainly looks nice. Maybe some more light in the photos would show better the amount of work you have put into it. That camo certainly takes a lot of work.
Oh, by the way John, nice gifts! Use them well in nice campaigns!
Gentlemen thank you very much for your kind words. I know the zimm on my KT is quite thick, but it is my first attempt at it, so.... look the other way regarding that. I managed to get some more work done in weathering my KT but efforts to make branches for extra camo went down the balcony....literally. I'l give it another chance tomorrow.

@Jeff T--good looking monster you got there. Very nice paint job. Done by hand? Or masked and airbrushed?
@John--with the Porsche--yours too! Nice Zimm. Nice paint. Weathering and wear coming along.
@John--with the Henschel--ditto!
Has anyone else noticed that the three builds making progress on this page are all two-tone green on desert yellow? Just thought it a strange coincidence.
Keep up the work everyone.
Keith

Hello All,
Mine is coming along slowly.
Since this kit has lots of optional parts I thought I'd take advantage of them and use both styles of gun mantlet. I used thin wire and super glue to simulate the weld seam depicted on the one on the box art. It may not be accurate but it adds character.
And the other installed:
Paint 'em both up and when I get bored I can swap them out...like my wife does when she re-arranges the furniture just for a change.
