Gary,

Your Marder is looking great; I really like the wiring on the radios since it really adds that life to the model that can be captured in plastic. And congratulations on being in the Feb issue of Scale Military Modeller International with your Staghound, that's a nice build as well.

Hey Brother Phil, Thanks man! I always value your opinion and input. Ya know i hadnt thought about the tube thickness, but looking back at my references they are WAY too thick....lesson learned bro....i aint drillin' nutin'!

Hey Kevin, Im happy you stopped by my friend! Thanks a bunch for the awesome words man. The Stag-n-the Mag....is hopefully the first of many.

I have and update here...ive glued the sides on but the gun and gun sheild is dry fitted. Still need to weather the gun and gun platform plus some wee touchups here and there.

I feel like im gettin' close to the top and then its all down hill from there.....OH SNAP....tha TRACKS!!!

Gary,

Looking really nice. It gives me the itch to try a Marder as well, but I have a couple of projects stacking up, so it may be a while.

Thanks

Nice choice Max! I almost won one of those on eBay but it looks like I'll build the Marder II.

Hey Jeff,

You gonna get crackin' on the Marder II soon?

Got a small update. I attached the exhaust pipe and muffler as well as the jack and tool box. Next is the tools but im not sure how i want to replicate clamps. I cant seem to put the PE clamps together and ive tried many times. Ill figure out something. Oh, and i broke something.....

More soon!

Ah... YEAH! As soon as I find those little elves you kicked to the curb!

No really, tomorrow is the last day of my treatment this month and I made some room so after the MRI on Saturday I shall try to get back.

But you guys are really looking good!

Well, I grabbed some Armour Workshop tracks for my H39 chassis. Resin with brass pins, they were causing me a bit of grief but I think I've got a system now. I've also been digging through the stash and I've found more Marders. I'm going to see what I can finish in the duration of this campaign.

I also found an ancient Tamiya Marder II and Italeri Marder III in bags that I may tackle as well. We'll see.

Little late to the party but I'm in with this one that I just reviewed:

I'll start a build log in the AFV forum to link to the review and post some pics up here too.

Gary - Awesome looking Marder, I like the styrene strap, PE buckle combo on your tools.

Marnix, Ryan and James - Looking forward to your builds, a nice mix of Marder kits from the past and today. The Bronco Marder II D and the Tamiya Marder III H w/7.62cm gun are on my wish list.

I was planning on building the 'Kohlenklau' Marder II and Dragon obliges with a new Marder II release:

The kit even comes with the giant wooden stowage crate seen in the photos!
