Nice finish Roman, the award should be there now.
Bob, time is running out I hope you're done my friend.

Paul:
"Oooooo I'm Sooooo Late!"
Here we Go! The Finnish Bt 42 (ex-Russian BT-7 with swapped-in British 114mm howitzer in about the ugliest turret I've ever built on a tank model) as seen at the Battle for Vyborg, 1944. Tamiya kit with a metal barrel and a few scratch add-ons to better capture the accuracy of this build. Paint scheme follows that provided by Tamiya for #717 at Vyborg.
I managed to do some effective plastic reconstructive surgery, had to replace a couple lost bits, and do some paint restoration. This is IT for this campaign but it still needs some finish dusting and a couple of extra bits n bobs that I'll add for a coming show.
VERY cool kit ( I recommend Tamiya's BT 42 to anyone looking for a nice pretty clean build with mostly nice detail and fine fit and engineering, and a cool-if-way butt-ugly outcome!) The Aber or other bt 42 metal barrel will usefully enhance the build, and there are a few details one might want to fix or add, depending on one's state of AMS and OCD at the moment.
This build included the very first time I have ever created a hard-edge tricolor scheme using masking and airbrush - so this was a big techniques step for me! Also the very first time that I have actually tried to follow pretty closely a formal "mapped scheme" (as provided by Tamiya).
Great campaign and lots of good stuff!
And Paul... MUCHO Thanks! for letting me dawdle along to this very end point! I really enjoyed the campaign and look forward to some next effort - even another "fasche flagg" event!
Here's a cover photo from the top...
I'll go post some additional in the gallery list.
